How to use this resource

I created this resource to sit alongside the One Third Stories ‘How the Dinosaur got his shoes’ book.

My own children are already familiar with the words for a range of items of clothing so I have added these in.

First, print the following pages - taking care to print the clothing cards double sided. I Cut out the cards – I laminated ours.

How to playLay the clothing cards out – picture side up. Children should first select the item of clothing and then the colour of the clothing. They should then complete the short sentence by selecting the correct article (el, la, los etc).

They can now read the sentence; ensuring that they use the correct colour form; ie: masculine, feminine or plural.

You can also play by having the clothing cards word side up and checking they can translate to English.
