Before starting your installation, please ensure that your iDatalink Maestro module is programmed with the correct fi rmware and that you carefully review the Installation Diagram and Vehicle Wire Refer-ence Chart.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS STEP 1

• Unbox the aftermarket radio and locate its main harness.

• Connect the wires shown on the next page from aftermarket radio main harness to the F02 T-harness and match the wire functions.

STEP 2

• Connect the factory harness to the F02 T-harness.

STEP 3• Connect the screen harness to the F02 T-harness.

STEP 3• Plug the OBDII connector into the OBDII of the vehicle.

STEP 4• Plug the aftermarket radio harnesses into the aftermarket

radio.

STEP 5• Connect the 4 pin blue plug to the maestro and the other

end to he aftermarket radio. For Kenwood and JVC use the BLUE/YELLOW wire, all other radios use the 3.5 jack.

• Connect the auxiliary and backup camera RCA cables into the aftermarket radio (if equipped).

STEP 6• Connect all the harnesses to the Maestro RR module then

proceed to module setup.

The module is now ready to be used.

Insert the aftermarket radio in the dashboard housing and test all the functionalities.

Reassemble the dashboard carefully.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS:

• To reset the module back its factory settings, turn the key to the OFF position then disconnect all connectors from the module. Press and hold the module’s programming button and connect all the connectors back to the module. Wait, the module’s LED will fl ash RED rapidly (this may take up to 10 seconds). Release the programming button. Wait, the LED will turn solid GREEN for 2 seconds.

• Plug the Data cable to the data port of the aftermarket radio.

• Insert the Audio cable into the iDatalink 3.5 mm audio jack of the aftermarket radio.






OEM BLUETOOTH SETUPOnly one Bluetooth can be set for hands free calling. This must be determined before installation. Both the factory and after systems can be used for bluetooth audio streaming. If the aftermarket Bluetooth is chosen for hands free calling, the aftermarket microphone must be installed in the vehicle

2013 Kenwood Radios:

For these radio models, the OEM Bluetooth is turned OFF by default. To turn ON the OEM Bluetooth, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ACC position. The Radio will turn on and the setup screen will appear. Scroll to the bottom and select the vehicle set up menu by pressing SET. Go to the option OEM Bluetooth and select ON. Press the return arrow then scroll to the bottom of the page select FINISH.


For these radio models, the OEM Bluetooth is turned ON by default. To turn OFF the OEM Bluetooth, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ACC position. The radio will turn ON and the setup screen will appear. Scroll to the bottom and select the vehicle set up menu by pressing SET. Go to the option OEM Bluetooth and select OFF.

2014 Alpine Radios:

For these radio models, the OEM Bluetooth is turned ON by default. To turn OFF the OEM Bluetooth, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ACC position. The radio will turn ON and the main screen will appear. Select the settings button, in the top right corner, then select GENERAL. Select INTEGRATION SETUP then select HANDS FREE CONNECTION. Two options will be available ON or OFF, select OFF.

• Cut the WHITE, GRAY, GREEN and PURPLE RCA tips. Connect every wire to the aftermarket radio main harness and match the wire colors.

• Connect every wire from the aftermarket radio main harness to the FO1 T-harness and match the wire colors. (Refer to Diagram)

STEP 2Vehicles equipped with navigation radios skip to Step 3.

(Required for vehicles equipped with SYNC, without factory navigation system; refer to Vehicle Wire Chart)

• Disassemble the dashboard carefully and remove the factory radio from its housing without disconnecting it.

• See the WIRE CHART for vehicle wire color and location.

• Use a multimeter to test the SWI 2 wire. Connect the BLACK test probe to ground (-) and connect the RED test probe to the wire SWI 2 wire. Have the ignition and the radio ON. If the SWI 2 wire is connected, the multimeter will display approximately 5 volts. This value will drop upon pressing the steering wheel voice, phone or OK button.

• Cut the SWI 2 INPUT wire.

• Connect the PINK/RED wire of FO1 T-harness to the SWI 2 INPUT wire going to the steering wheel. Insulate the wire side going to the SYNC module and plug the SYNC harness into the SYNC module.

STEP 3• Connect the factory harness to the FO1 T-harness. Connect

only the available connectors. For example, if the factory harness has two connectors, connect only these two connectors.

• Insert the Audio cable into the iDatalink 3.5 mm audio jack of the aftermarket radio (if there is no iDatalink audio input, connect to AUX).

Note: On Pioneer radio, ensure that there is nothing plugged into the W/R port.

• Insert the RCA connectors into the aftermarket radio.

NOTES:

The RCA connectors labeled SUB IN can be used to feed the subwoofer channel of the factory amplifier.

The RCA connector labeled CENTER IN can be used to feed the center channel of the THX system or as a second subwoofer channel (if applicable).

The RCA connectors labeled AUX IN can be used to connect the factory 3.5 mm audio jack, in vehicles that are NOT equipped with SYNC, to the auxiliary input of the aftermarket radio.

STEP 6• Secure the aftermarket radio in the dashboardhousing.

• Connect all the harnesses to the Maestro RR module then test your installation.

Gauges do not work, radio shows OBD2 Error 1 or Error 2. Ensure OBDII connector is securely attached to the OBDII connector of the vehicle. If you hardwired connections at the OBDII, check connections at the OBDII connector. Make sure the RED/ BROWN wire is on PIN 6 and the YELLOW/ BROWN wire is connected to PIN 14 of the OBDII connector. Do not use T-Taps. Soldering or military splicing methods are recommended.

Reset the RR.

There is no sound from Sync (if equipped). Ensure the all black, 3-pin to 3.5mm audio cable is connected between the RR and the radio. Make sure it is in the correct radio input.

The radio will not turn on, and there was no 16-pin plug connected to the OEM radio.

The data lines are not present behind the radio and must be connected at the OBDII. Extend and connect the BROWN/RED and BROWN/YELLOW wires from the FO1’s 16-pin plug to:BROWN/RED to pin 3 (GRAY/ORANGE) and BROWN/YELLOW to pin 11 (VIOLET/ORANGE) at the OBDII.

The light on the Maestro is fl ashing RED ONCE. There is no fi rmware on the module; fl ash the RR module.

The light on the Maestro is blinking RED TWICE. Ensure the 4-pin data cable is connected between the radio and the RR, and that it is plugged into the black port on the Maestro RR. The red and blue ports on the RR should be empty.

Make sure the correct radio model and serial number were entered during the fl ash. Verify the radio’s serial number entered during the fl ash matches what is listed on the radio screen. This can be found in the settings of the radio, listed as Device Id, Device Number, or Serial Number.

MAESTRO RR RESET PROCEDURE:

Turn the key to the OFF position, then disconnect all connectors from the module.Press and hold the module’s programming button and connect all the connectors back to the module. Wait, the module’s LED will fl ash RED rapidly (this may take up to 10 seconds).Release the programming button. Wait, the LED will turn solid GREEN for 2 seconds to show the reset was successful.
