How to use Quia

Follow along on your computer to learn how to use this website

What is Quia?

• This website is a site I have made for you to practice vocabulary, and grammar

• You will be responsible for visiting this site for 50 minutes of practice each week (20 minutes practicing vocabulary, 20 minutes practicing review vocabulary, 10 minutes practicing grammar)

• This time counts as a homework assignment and is due by 7:30 am each Friday (Stage 3)

• You will be getting logins and passwords now

Finding the Quia website

• Wesite address: http://www.quia.com/profiles/magistrarobertson

• You can find a link on my LNHS home page- look for me listed under staff

• Easiest way to find Quia:

–Go to Google

–Type in: Quia Web

Do Not use Google Chrome with Quia!

Enter your username and password

You must sign in to have your time recorded!

It will ask you to type your username and password again

\ Then it will ask you for the secret word.

\ The secret word is: spider

This test is to measure what you know at the beginning of the year

• This does not count for a test grade• I do not expect you to know these answers• By submitting this test, you will receive a 100%

for a classwork grade• If you don’t know an answer, leave it blank!

When you are done, turn off your computer and bring it to me
