GOING TO and REGISTERING TO GoAnimate


Open a web browser


Go to www.goanimate.com


You will be directed to the GoAnimate homepage


For first time users, click Sign Up


Or Sign Up for free


A window will pop up


Enter your Email address


After entering your e-mail address


Your Display Name will be automatically filled out


You can, however, manually change it.


Fill out the other details


Then tick the box beside I agree to the Terms of Use


Click Sign Up


And you will be directed back to the GoAnimate homepage


You will notice the envelope icon on the upper right


Click that icon


And you will see your welcome message


Open it


And copy the tutorial link


You will be directed to the videomaker page


Where you can watch a GoAnimate tutorial


Or start creating your video!


CREATING YOUR OWN VIDEO USING GoAnimate


You can create your video from scratch


Or create it with a selected theme


Creating a video from scratch, however…


… will require you to upgrade to a paid account


You can still try to continue with your video maker…


But you will not have the option to save it…


… unless you subscribe to a paid account.


If you stick to a free account


You still get to enjoy creating videos with themes


Themes with Business Exclusive and $x per year tags, however…


… Can only be used with a paid account


Hover your mouse to one of the free themes


And a Make A Video button will come up


Click the button


And you will be initially directed to the Tutorial video


You can click the Play button to watch the video


Or click the Skip tutorial link to move on


Note: The Tutorial will always pop up on every new project


If you do not want to have it anymore


Just tick the box beside Don’t display again


Then click Skip Tutorial


You will be directed to your Studio


This page has 3 sections


The stage


The timeline


And the tray


Once again


The stage


The timeline


And the tray


If you want to change the background of the stage


Click the Backgrounds icon found on the tray


Just click your preferred background


Then drag it to the stage


The background changes real-time


Now time to add your characters!


Just click your preferred character


Then drag it to the stage


There’s your first character!


Click the character on your stage


And you will see several options come up


The options above your character’s head


Allows you to resize your character


Change the side where he/she is facing


Bring him/her forward


Bring him/her backward


Or delete him/her altogether


You can also simply press Delete on your keyboard


And your character’s out of the stage


Let us now go to the Character Settings tab


Where you can add an action


Add voice


And add an enter/exit motion


Let’s go back to Actions


To select the action you want your character to do


Just click the action itself


And changes will take effect real-time


You can also change the character’s expression


And changes will take effect real-time


You can add voice in 3 ways


1. Text-to-Speech


Just type in your character’s line


Select the language


Select the voice type


Then click Add Voice


2. Mic Recording


Click the Mic icon


Once it changes to a stop button


You can start recording


For as long as 20 seconds


Once done, click Add Voice


3. File Upload


Click Browse


Select the file you wish to upload


Then click Add Voice


The Enter/Exit tab


Allows you to create entry/exit motions


Just like how we do it in Microsoft Powerpoint


Just click Add Motion


And you can now edit your character’s entry/exit animation


Let’s go back to the Tray


The second tab allows you to add text


Just click on your preferred option


Drag and drop it to your stage


Double-click the text balloon/box


To edit text


You can change the text style


Add link to your text balloon/box


And add enter/exit animations


The fourth tab on your tray allows you to add props


Just click your preferred item


Then drag and drop it to your stage


The fifth tab on your tray allows you to add sound


Hover your mouse on one option


And the preview icon will come up


Click your preferred sound


And it will be added to your timeline


The last tab on your tray allows you to add effects


Just click on your preferred effect


And it will automatically be added to your current scene


Also indicated by the effects icon


Should you wish to add another scene


You can do it in two ways


You can click the Add Scene button found below the stage


Or click the plus icon found in your timeline


And you will see the new scene added on your timeline


Just be as creative as you can be


Let your imagination fly and create your work of art ;)


If you want to review your work, just click Preview


The Preview window will load


Once you are finished watching


You can either click Back To Editing to go back to your project


Or click Save Now to save your work


You can also save your work by clicking Save


We’ll talk more about saving your work later.


The cogwheel icon on the upper right of the page


Gives you the options to take a screenshot


Or change the quality of your video


NOTE: Your GoAnimate project does not auto-save, so make sure to save it once in a while to avoid losing your work!


SAVING YOUR WORK


Once you click Save


A new window will pop up


Which will allow you to


Put your video’s title


Put tags on your video


And type down a short description of your video


You can also change the language


And whether to save it as Draft, Private or Public Video


You can also change your video’s thumbnail


This will be a screenshot of your video that will be shown


To people who will want see it online


If you use a free license


You will not be allowed to change the watermark


Once you got everything covered


You can click Save Only if you wish to go back to your work


Or click Save and Close to exit


You will be brought to this page


Where you can play your video


Share/Export your video


Edit your video


Change some settings


Or delete your work


To edit your profile or see your works, go to Your Account
