Transcript of How to Tackle in Rugby
Rugby Tackling
When I am playing rugby, I am allowed to tackle other people.
I only tackle the other teams players.
My own team would be unhappy if I tackled them.
When a person on the other team has the ball, they are who I want to tackle.
When I tackle I have to get low into my power stance!
My power stance is when my legs are bent and my back is flat like a table.
When I am like this, I will be stronger.
It is a good tackle when I hit with my shoulder.
If I have my shoulder against their hip then I am tacking right!
If I tackle the other player above the shoulders it could hurt them.
I have to be sure to wrap the other player with my arms.
To be safe, I go to the ground with the person I am tackling.
I only tackle when I am playing rugby.
Tackling someone who is not playing rugby could hurt them.
I have fun playing rugby!
