1. Never walk alone especially in the dark

2. Beware of public transport early in the morning and after 6 p.m.

3. Never talk to strangers, even if they need help

4. Beware of public meetings and demonstrations

5. Groups of young people need additional attention

8 SIMPLE RULES OF PRIVATE SAFETY

1. Never eat in unknown cafes even if they look respectable. Water from central water-supply is not drinkable in Russia.

2. If you are drunk, call taxi and stay in safety public area (casino, restaurant, hotel)

3. Passing acquaintance may be dangerous even if it looks safe. Never invite unknown persons in

your private area.

4. Everyday watches, notebooks, mobile phones must be reasonably cheap – thefts never sleep. Keep expensive

tools in your private area till you really need them.

5. Bank cards, documents, ID’s etc. must be kept in a safe if you don’t need them right now.
