“I’m not in a bad mood. Everyone is

just… annoying.”

I am an ‘always look on the

bright side of life’ kind of

person.

Page 3: How to survive a bad mood

But recently I got up on the

proverbial wrong side of bed

Page 4: How to survive a bad mood

I had no life stress, the weather was great,

but I could not be moved from under the storm cloud that hung

over my head

Page 5: How to survive a bad mood

I acknowledged that I had nothing to

complain about, and knew that there are many around me, who have deep worries and concerns in their

lives. Yet I remained

unrepentant in my bemoaning.

I cleaned out a cabinet - trying to

bring about the zen of order and

perception of my power to affect change in the

universe if only the universe of my

kitchen.

I finished a bunch of stuff on my work list

of things to do – hoping again to let the sense of peace

about accomplishing something,

lighten my day.

I looked to the stars and read two different versions of my horoscope -

hoping that the universe could

offer me some relief.

I took a walk in

woods - trying to

appreciate the simple beauty of

the day.

I booked some summer holiday

time – hoping that looking

ahead to sunny warm days would

move me.

Finally, instead of chasing it away,

I decided to just let myself be

in a bad mood and concentrate instead on not taking it out

on anyone and everyone I encountered.

Most days, we need to strive

to be positive, to see the good

in life, to count our blessings.

Page 15: How to survive a bad mood

Sometimes we need to wallow. That too renews our energy and

lets us love ourselves for

whoever we are In any moment.

"It's easy to have faith in yourself

and have discipline when you're a winner,

when you're number one. What you've got to have

is faith and discipline when you're not yet a winner."

Vince Lombardi

So whether you are on top of the world,

or at the bottom of a long steep climb.

Be Good to Yourself.

was dead. Remember -
