HOW TO STYLE UP COTTON TOPS AND DRESSES WITH
SCARVESAn easy way to keep yourself warm in your
cotton tops and dresses this winter is to add a scarf to your outfit, although scarves
are most definitely not just for the cold weather, they can be worn all year round.
KNITTED SCARVESWinter is a great time to invest in
some thick and cozy knitted scarves, these are a great option to warm your cotton top or outfit up
and keep your warm as well as looking stylish.
KNITTED SCARVESA long scarf is great for tying in a
variety of knots around your neck in either single or double knots – or even wrap around your neck for
ultimate warmth and leave the long ends hanging free, great look for a
country walk on a chilly day.
STYLE THOSE SCARVES!
Infinity scarf
If you haven’t got an infinity scarf. Then take a long scarf and tie the two ends together, then loop this
over your head with the knot hidden at the back, then either twist and loop one or two times more for a
chic and warm look.
NYC LookThis one is easy to achieve and
will never fail to give you a glam edge to your cotton top or dress – take a long scarf and fold it in
half, then holding the scarf behind your neck, take one end of the scarf and pull it through
the loop, then twist the loop before poking the other end of
the scarf through the loop – easy!
Chic simple knotted style
This is a effortlessly chic and easy style and will glam up any plain white
cotton top if you choose a signature colour. Take your scarf and wind
around your neck leaving the two ends hanging free, then take one end
of the scarf and wind it around one of the free ends, tuck it through and
leave both ends hanging.
Rock chick lookTake a small scarf and
over a cotton top, style it like a bandit with the long triangle hanging at the front and the knot
at the back – looks super cool!
Classic french chic
Wear a long sleeved breton style cotton top
with a small scarf knotted around the neck for effortless
french chic!
Preppy styleFor this look then team your small scarf with a
sweater or cardigan and tie around your neck with the knot on the side, this
looks great also worn over the top of a crisp white
shirt.
DrapeyIf knots aren’t your thing then think about wearing
your scarf just loosely over your shoulders or under the lapels of a blazer or smarter jacket, this is a great smart casual look. Alternatively
just wear your scarf loosely over one shoulder – gives
an elegant look to an ordinary outfit.
