Do you have an idea for a business or have a hobby that you want to take to the next level? Bring your own coffee to this set of workshops, where you will learn the fundamentals of starting a business. Learn the value and elements of a business plan. The workshops will be taught by subject matter experts from the community. You will learn about legal aspects of starting a business, insurance options that should be considered, business loans and record keeping. This program is a partnership between the Small Business Development Center and Manchester Community College. All workshops will be presented at MCC Downtown, located at 889 Elm Street, Manchester NH. January 21, 2015 – Legal Forms of Business Workshop: Devine Millimet will present a workshop to discuss the various business entities available in New Hampshire and how to choose the right legal form for your business activities. January 28, 2015 - Getting to Know Your Financial Statements: BerryDunn will offer a discussion on the necessary financial statements, what each statement tells you, why the statements are important, and more! February 4, 2015 - Financing Options and Types of Accounts: St. Mary’s Bank will present a workshop on various forms of financing options and types of business accounts to get your business off to a smooth start. February 11, 2015: Insurance 101: The Rowley agency will present this workshop to discuss insurance for the small business: Liability, worker’s comp, property coverage, commercial auto and more - what does my small business need for protection?
