Once downloaded, Click on “DpcAmsServer.exe” and follow the rest of the install instructions.

Install a Live DeviceGo into delta V exployer and install a live device on your foundation feild bus network.

Right Click on “PO1” and click “New Fieldbus Device”

Create the new device to be an exact clone of the attached device. Is this example we change the Manufacture to
“Yokogawa Electric” and the “Device Type” to “EJX” by using the drop down arrows. When done, click “OK”.

Notice that “DPC-49-HSEFD” pick up on the “Standby” device. Click OK.

Notice “DPC-49-HSEFD has come online. Right-click on “CTLR-01128C” -> Download -> Controller

Right-click on “DPC-49-HSEFD” -> “Open with AMS Device Manager”

Notice the manager opens right up into the tag database. Notice the tag has a specific ID number.
Right-click the Snap-On (The little TURCK “T” located in the quick launch icons) -> Options.

Check “AMS device tag” in “Options List” and make sure it matches the “Tag ID” in the “Tag Data Base”.
When you are finished matching the “Tag Id” numbers, Click “OK” and then click the “X” on the “Tag Data Base.”
Notice the “Device Connection View” pop-ups.

Right-click on “TURCK Delta Network” -> Rebuild Hierarchy
If you expand the tree you will see the “DPC-49-HSEFD_01” tag
Double-click on “Plant Database” and expand the tree. Drag and Drop the“DPC-49-HSEFD_01” tag into the “Control
Module” folder. (This will take a sometime to process)
Once complete, go to “View” -> “Alert Monitor”

When the monitor opens we need to add a tag to the alert list, Click “Configure” -> “Add” -> select the tag-> OK
Notice the tag showed up in the “Device Monitor List”. All alerts will now be displayed in the “Alert List”.

MANUALLY TURN ON AN ALARMThis section will generate an alarm.
Open Internet Explorer and type in the device IP address into the navigation bar. Press “Enter”. The devices web server
screen will pop up.
Change the “Alarm Noise” “Threshold Hi” text box from 111.0 to 2.0.

Click “Apply changes”
Notice the “Snap-On” pop-up notifies the user of a “Pre-Alarm” due to the “Noise Value” being 2.0mV

Click over to the “Alert List”. Notice an alarm has popped up. (It may take up to one minute for the alarm to show up in
the “Alert List”).
Click on the “Unacknowledged” tab and then click on “Acknowledge” to acknowledge this alert.
Once the alert has been acknowledged, click over to the “Active Alerts” tab.
Notice the alert is still active. Now let’s clear the alert.

MANUALLY TURN OFF AN ALARMGo back to web server and change the “Alarm Noise” “Threshold Hi” text box from 2.0 to 110.0.
Click “Apply changes”

Open the “Alert List”. After about a minute you will see a Snap-On pop-up tell you that the “Noise Value” is good.
After about a minute, the active alert will clear from the “Alert List”.
