How to Register and Lend

From kiva.org, click on the “Zip” tab

Click “Log In to Kiva Zip”

Click “Lender Log In”

Click “Register”

Fill out registration information – the picture is optional. Click the “I have read…” box and then “Register”

Select gender, time zone, click “I have read” box, and then “Get Started”

You should see your name at the top of the page

Congratulations! You are now ready to make a loan.

Once you have registered on Kiva Zip, click on the link in your email, Facebook, or twitter

You should see the name of the person to whom you want to lend. Click “Lend Now”

Select your loan amount and click “Continue”

Log in using your Facebook or Kiva profile information.

Once you are logged in, click “My Basket”

You should see your loan in the basket. Click “Checkout”

You will be directed to Paypal. If you would like to pay with a debit/credit card, click “Pay with a debit or credit card…”

You will see the debit/credit card fields drop down.

Fill in your debit/credit card information and click “Pay”

Congratulations! Your loan has been processed. Click the “Return to Kiva…” link to see your contribution on the site

You will see a confirmation that your loan has been processed. Click on the loan link to see your name as a contributor

Click the “Lenders” tab

You will see your name as a lender. If this is your first time making a Kiva loan, your name will be highlighted in gold

Congratulations! You are now a Kiva Zip lender.
