Prepare to Create Video Resources

1. Create a folder on the PC/stick where you will save the PowerPoint, video, and audio files.

2. Plug the QuickCam into a USB port.

3. Open Windows Movie Maker.– Use this program as a video capture device.– OR use this program to produce a video.

Put all filesin one folder!

Capture a Video in Movie Maker

1. Press the tasks button.2. Select capture from video

device.3. Press start capture and

stop capture to record video and audio.• Make sure create clips is

turned off.

• Note: Be sure to save the file in your folder.

Inserting Video into PowerPoint

1. Select insert—movies and sounds—movie from file.

2. Select whether you want the movie to play automatically OR when clicked.

Capturing Screen Actions

• Find CamStudio at Download.com.

• Use this program to capture video action on the screen.

• Optionally, you can record audio to accompany the video.

To Use CamStudio

• Specify whether audio will be recorded in options.– Record audio from microphone.– Select microphone from audio options.

• Under region, select region (vs. fixed region).

• Use F8 to start video, F9 to end.

• Use Movie Maker to create a brief music video.• Record video and import to PowerPoint:
