1. About Night Shift Allowance Night Shift Allowance (NSA) is generally claimed by all full time employees of TCS , where the associates have to work during night for project requirements and for 24x7 support to provide support to client requirements. An allowance of Rs.360/day will be paid to the employee as Night Shift Allowance. The NSA amount will be paid through employee payroll system. 1.1 Pre-requisites To claim Night Shift Allowance, the associate has to work for a minimum of 4.5 hours or more between 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM (IST). PL of the project has to roster the night shift for the associate in the Shift Management and Rostering System. The PL has to keep track of the entire employees who are eligible for claiming the NSA. PL can complete rostering the NSA in two slots - Before 20th of each month and till 5th of subsequent month. After that data will be frozen and backdated adjustment are not allowed in the system.

2. How to raise NSA Follow the below steps to raise Night Shift Allowance in Shift Management & Rostering. 2.1 Shift Management & Rostering Login into Ultimatix with your login credentials and select “Shift Management & Rostering” from “Projects Delivery & Sales”.

2.2 Select Calendar Management

After opening the Shift Management & Rostering page, select “Calendar Management” “Employee Calendar“

After opening the Calendar Management page, enter few characters for the name of the project in “Project Name” field which will in turn display the project list tagged in your role. Now, select the Project as shown below:

After selecting the Project, click “Browse” icon as shown below for selecting the Employee details in the “Employee Name” field.

Employee Details – popup window opens. Now, enter few characters/number in the respective “Employee Name”/ “Employee Number” field.

(In the below screen, we have entered employee number for selecting the employee details)

2.3 Enter Night Shift dates for applying

After selecting the Employee Name, enter the start and end date period for which night shift allowance is to be raised in the respective “Start date” and “End date” field.

Now click “View” to view the respective Employees calendar for applying Night Shift Allowance.

2.4 Select Shift details

Now select the date for which Night Shift Allowance is to be raised for that employee and then “Right click” the date as shown below:

Now select the “Shift List” menu. “Available Shift” popup window opens as shown below.

Now select “Night Shift” row from “Special Shift” and then click “Apply Shifts”.

For multiple date selection, click the “date + Ctrl key” to apply night shift allowance for multiple dates as shown below.

After selecting multiple Night Shift dates, click “Save” button.

2.5 Confirm IT Night Shift Policy

Click “Yes” to apply Night Shift Allowance.

Note:-

By clicking “Yes” you are adhering to the IT Night Shift Policy. Also, please ensure that the dates applied for the Night Shift Allowance are correct for your respective team members.
