Making a Cake

GLOSSARYOvenIt gets very hot. You can bake food in it.
MouldYou put a cake mixture in it to bake it.
Egg Many animals hatch from eggs. People eat a lot of chicken eggs.
MixerIt is used to mix different food.
BowlYou can eat soup or cereal in a bowl
Cheese spreadIt is a kind of cheese and you spread it on something
YogurtIt is a food made out of milk. There are many flavors.
FlourIt is a ground up grain. Bread is made from flour.
GLOSSARYRaspberry jamIt is a spread made from raspberries.
TeaspoonfulIt is the amount of something that fits on a teaspoon.
TablespoonfulIt is the amount of something that fits on a tablespoon.
ButterIt is a rich spread made from cream.
SugarIt is a sweet food. Normally it is white.
CakeIt is a sweet dessert made from some sweet ingredients
ForkIt is used for eating solid food.
KnifeYou can cut things and food with it.

INTRODUCTION
Anne is going to prepare a delicious cheesecake !

RECIPE
One box of cheese spread
Three eggs
Three plain yoghurts
• Flour
o Anne needs some ingredients from the supermarket, so she buys:
• Butter
•Sugar
•Raspberry jam
RECIPE
She has all the ingredients, so she goes to the kitchen to prepare the cake.
1. FIRST Anne turns on the oven to 170º.
2. SECOND Anne mixes the box of cheese spread,
the three eggs, the three yoghurts, the three tablespoonfuls of flour and the ten spoonfuls of sugar in a bowl with a mixer.
3. THIRD
Anne spreads a little bit of butter on the mould and then she puts the mix in it.
4. FORTH Anne puts the mould in the oven and
she waits 25 minutes.
5. FIFTH Anne takes the cake out of the oven and
decorates it with the raspberry jam.
6. SIXTH
Anne is ready to eat a delicious cake! She uses a knife and a fork to eat it.
