HOW IT WORKS
When SmartWatch detects repetitive shaking motion, it signals the user’s smartphone (Android or iPhone) to send text and phone call alerts to whomever the SmartWatch user designates, such as multiple family members and care providers.
Within seconds, family members receive these alerts, which include the date, time, location and duration of the event. SmartWatch users can also summon help with the push of a button. Alerts can be sent to any phone, anywhere, and detailed reports of each event can be securely accessed for later review with physicians.
CLINICAL VALIDATION
The SmartWatch has been evaluated and successfully validated in clinical studies conducted at leading medical institutions such as Stanford and University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
In addition, SmartWatch is being used in clinical studies at NYU Langone Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital and the University of Virginia. These studies are leveraging the ability of the SmartWatch to provide data on seizures that was never before possible in an outpatient setting.
