1Familiarizing with manage your

category page


Step 1:

Log in to your Eshopbox site control panel with your login id and password

Click on ‘Store category’ under the ‘Manage’ tab

Step 2:

Now you will be on ‘Manage your category’ page

Here you will see the listing of all the parent categories created by you

‘Store Catalog’ is a default category which is used to create a parent

category

Step 3:

The + (Plus) sign along with the category shows that this category contains

sub categories as well

The - (minus) sign shows there is no sub category under this category

Doesn’t contain any sub category


Step 4:

There are two options to view sub categories

To see a sub category of any particular category, click on + (plus) placed

along with it

To see all sub categories of all the parent categories in one go, click on

‘Expand all’ link

To see the parent categories only, click on ‘Collapse All’ link

Step 6:

Numeric figure along with each category shows the total number of

products the category contains

E.g. ‘Software’ category has 1 product. Its parent category, ‘Shop Mac’ has

2 products. But the figure shows 3 which is the sum of its own product &

its sub category product

Step 7:

You can change the position of categories as they appear at your eshopbox

site

E.g. If you want to place a category under another category or want to

make it a parent category, just drag and drop that "Category Name" at a

new location

Category order changes are saved automatically


You can drag this category & place it anywhere else


2How to manage category for

your Eshopbox site


Step 1:

When you will place your cursor on any category, you will see ‘Actions’

drop down

Click on it


View the available actions


Step 2: Now you will see 5 options:

Edit: Select this, if you want to make changes in your existing category Delete: Select this, if you want to delete a category permanently Store preview: Select this, if you want to see the detail page of a category

at your store View details: This options lets you see the information that you’ve filled

for a category Add subcategory: Select this, if you want to create a sub category under

this category

Step 3:

When you will click on ‘Edit’, you will be redirected to the category

creation page where you will see your previously filled information

Now you can make any changes according to your requirements

Make sure to save your changes

Step 4:

When you will click on ‘Delete’ a pop up will be displayed

Click on ‘yes’ to delete this category permanently

Click on ‘No’ to discard the category deletion

Step 5:

When you click on ‘Store preview’, your store will be opened in the next

tab and you will be able to see the category detail page

E.g. If you have selected this option on ‘Shop iphone’ category, then the

detail page of this category will be opened at your store

By this option you can see the appearance of your category detail page. So

now if you feel to modify anything you can do that



Step 6:

When you click on ‘View detail’, you will be able to see the information

that you filled during the category creation process

To go back to ‘Manage your category’ page

Step 7:

When you click on ‘Add subcategory’, you will be redirected to ‘Fill basic

info’ page of category creation directly

E.g. If you have selected this option on ‘Shop iphone’ category, then you

are through with the category creation process your new sub category will

be shown under ‘Shop iphone’ category



If you delete a subcategory then all its assigned products will be visible

under its parent category

Don’t change the position of a category frequently as it can confuse & will

take time of your regular customers to search that category
