Joget Workflow is looking for community contribution to expand its internationalization (i18n) support. If you happen to know languages other than English and you are comfortable using Joget Workflow in English, you can help to translate Joget Workflow into your native language, by using this web-based translation system.

How You Can Help?

• For the language that you’re comfortable with for translation, you can help to:

– Translate the untranslated strings

– Verify the translated strings

Register, Easily

1. Visit http://translate.joget.org

2. Register an account with username, password and a valid email address

3. You will receive an email titled “Pootleregistration”. Follow the link provided to activate your account.

Personalize Your Contributing Language(s)

• Login, and you will be greeted with Dashboard, with no quick link personalized.

• You may go to the Settings tab, select your contributing language(s) in the My Languages option, and select Joget Workflow in the My Projects option.

• Save the settings, and your language(s) will be listed as quick link(s) in Dashboard.

• For every language, there are 4 files to be translated:

– formbuilder: used in Form Builder

– general: used in Workflow Management Console

– help: used in Quick Guide (Workflow Management Console)

– JaWE: used in Workflow Designer

How to Translate?

• Click into any file of a selected language, and you will be shown with strings for translation.

Submit vs Suggest

• If you submit a translated text, it will be committed without review needed.

• If you suggest a translated text, administrator has to review it before it can be committed.

• Don’t be afraid to submit, if you’re comfortable with the translated text.

Using the Review Function

• When using the Review tab, you will be shown with detailed statuses of the language files.

• Particularly, one of the most useful indicators is the “untranslated” status.

• If you click on the “untranslated” of JaWE– the “untranslated” filter will be applied

– you will be shown with the first untranslated string found in the selected file

– clicking on “Skip” button will bring you to the next untranslated string found

Review Suggestions

• In the Review tab, clicking on “hassuggestion” filter, will bring you to strings with suggested translated text, that require review.

• You can help by accepting or rejecting a suggested translated text.

Download .po Files

• As you contribute in the translation project of a language, the translated messages are kept in .po files

• Navigate to the “Translate” tab of a language that you’re interested in, and download formbuilder_xx.po, general_xx.po, and help_xx.po files

Special Treatment Needed on .po Files for Indonesian Language

• For .po files of Indonesian language, some minor changes are needed before proceeding to the next step.

• Open to edit formbuilder_xx.po, general_xx.po, and help_xx.po files in text editor (such as Notepad)

• Look for the line that says: "Language: id\n"

• Change it to: "Language: in\n"

Import into Joget Workflow

• Login to Workflow Management Console as a user with Admin role, and navigate to Settings > Manage Messages

• Click “Import PO File” button

• Upload the formbuilder_xx.po, general_xx.po, and help_xx.po files

Set System Locale

• In the Workflow Management Console, navigate to Settings > System Setup

• Look for the System Locale option, select the locale that you have just uploaded/imported, and click the “Submit” button

Which Locale to Choose?

• Open general_xx.po in text editor (such as Notepad), and look for the line that says:

"Language: xx\n"

• For example, if you’re looking at the .po file for Korean language, xx will be shown as ko.

• In System Setup, select the locale corresponding to xx
