    Chapter 1WOMAN WITH GREAT FAITH

"And behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the samecoasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, aLord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexedwith a devil" (Matt. 15:22).

This Lady Recognized Jesus as Lord, the Son of DavidShe put Him in His right place. She recognized that He

was born of a virgin, that He was divine. She recognizedthe Atonement. Anyone who believes in the Atonement be-lieves in divine healing-healing and forgiveness of sin.You cannot separate them.

    "... and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healedall that were sick;

"That it might be fulfilled which was spoken ... Himselftook our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses" (Matt. 8:16-17).

This little lady knew more about Jesus, through faith, than most of the Jews, who were drilled in theology.

She knew more than millions of church members andmany preachers in the United States of America. She hada touch of faith.

Members of seminaries today, who do not have a touchof faith, say it does not make any difference whether ornot you believe that Jesus was born of a virgin. They arecalling Jesus an illegitimate child, an imposter, and a falseprophet. The wrath of God abides on them (John 3 :36).They are thieves and robbers (John 10:1). They are anti-christ (I John 4:2). If we bid them God speed we are par-takers of their evil deeds (II John 11). There is no otherway to be saved; you must believe that Jesus was the be-gotten of God (John 3:16; Acts 4:12).

On an airplane near Tokyo, Japan I was talking to a Japa-nese teacher from a university in the United States. Hesaid that he believed that Jesus was a good man, but didnot believe that He was the Son of God.

"If He is a good man, He told the truth", I said.-1-

This teacher agreed that if Jesus were a good man and arophet He would not lie. I showed him where Jesus ~laimedo be the Son of God. Before we landed the Buddhist con-essed that Jesus was the Son of God.This little lady had great faith. She believed that Jesusas sent from God to forgive our sins and heal our diseases.he believed Psalms 103:3. No wonder she received healingor her daughter!

Mercy is HealingShe asked for mercy and received healing for her daugh-

ter. Healing is mercy; mercy is healing (Luke 18:38).Bartimaeus cried, "Jesus thou son of David, have mercyon me". He received healing for his blind eyes. RecognizeJesus as the Messiah and cry out for mercy, 'and you willreceive your healing.Mercy is healing. Healing is mercy ... His m~rcy endu~'-eth forever; His mercy endureth to all generations. He ISjust as merciful as He was in the days gone by.

Jesus does not heal to show that He has power any-more than a mother feeds her baby to prove that she is ableto do so. A mother feeds her baby because she is a mother. She is merciful. She loves the baby.

"Can a mother forget her suckling child, that she shouldnot have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, theymay forget, yet will I not forget thee" (Isa, 49: 15) .

God loves you more than you love your child. He will feedyou when you are hungry. He will supply all your needs.

The devil has no mercy. He comes only to kill (John 10:10). Jesus comes not only to save men's souls ... He comesto save our lives (Luke 9:56). If the devil heals people ofsickness then he is converted and has more mercy than somepreachers. The Moslems in Africa asked Brother Graham to healsome sick people to prove that he was sent of God. Jesusdoes not heal to prove He can. He heals because He is merci-ful. Jesus refused to perform a miracle on the Mount ofTemptation to show that He could. He refused to perform amiracle in Herod's judgment hall to prove that He could.

He said that if people will not believe the Bible, they-2-

will not believe though a man would rise from the dead(Luke 16:31).

Came For Her DaughterShe told Jesus that her daughter was grievously vexed

with a devil. In our day our educators would blame it onher personality. The psychiatrists would have had some bigname for it, explaining away sin. But her mother knew thatthe devil was inspiring her daughter to act the way shedid. She could discern spirits better than the religiousleaders of that day. She did not call it a mistake or a fault. She recognized her actions as sin. This lady was ahead of many mothers today. She wasconcerned about her daughter. She wanted her set free fromthe evil power that had her bound. Many mothers knowwhere their poodle dogs are; but they don't know wheretheir girls are parked tonight.

We need more mothers instead of "mammys", who willbe interested in bringing their daughters to Jesus whenthey are in trouble.

Millions of girls are vexed with an unclean spirit. Theirmothers are grieved with their actions. They have no peaceday or night. They have a high temper, or a sullen devil. They cause their mothers to have nervous break downs. They lie in the bed all day and run around at night. Theyare running around with married men or drunkards. Thebest remedy is to bring them to Jesus.Iknow a man who had a habit of beating his boy every-time he was in trouble. One day the Lord spoke to him, andsaid, "If you keep beating him you will lose him." He sawin a vision his son running away from home. The Lord toldhim to use faith and prayer and be led by the Spirit. He did.So God gave him a word of wisdom which solved each prob-lem. Now he and his son are "buddies". They get along inone accord.

"Send Her Away"The disciples said, "Send her away; for she crieth after

us."I used to wonder why the disciples wanted to send the

oor, sincere lady away. That was human nature. She wasnot a member of their church. She was not from their de-nomination. They did not want her to receive anything, be-cause they felt they had a monopoly on the Lord.

One pastor told me he did not want to advertise the meet-ing, because he did not want anyone coming except hisown members. Another pastor told me that his memberswere of a higher class than the people of other churches. He did not want them mixing with other members. Whenyou build a fence you fence out more people than youfence in.

One preacher said, "The hospital is the place for peopleto be born. They are not supposed to be born out on thestreet." He said his church was the place for people to besaved, not out on the street. He finally succeeded in gettinghis young people to stop their street-meetings and beginskating parties. He was not interested in winning peopleon the street, in theaters, in auditoriums, or anywhere ex-cept in his own church. He did not want people to be savedunless they joined his church. One missionary said he was on the field to build a churchfor his denomination. Who must we teach doctrine? It'sthe babes that are weaned from the breast (Isa. 28:9). Weare to teach sinners Christ. Philip went down to Samariaand preached Christ to them (Acts 8:5). That is why hehad a revival. Peter opened his mouth and preached to themJesus. That is why he saw people filled with the Spirit (Acts10:38) .Too many churches want to send people away. They areisolated Christians. They are fenced in. We see teamingthousands of Catholics healed, while people of our own de-nominations have been seeking for many years and are stillsick. They are depending on who they are. The Catholicsare depending on who Jesus is.

She Was Not of Their RaceShe was not from their nation. They did not realize that

they had been following the tradition of the elders. Theyhad been taught by their church that they were the onlygroup that was right, that everyone else was wrong. Jesus

    -4-

had rebuked them time and time again for holding to tradi-tion. They still were not cured.

If your group is the only one that is right; if yourlittle group is the only group that is going to heaven, thenI am sure you will be lonesome up there. I don't want togo there if there is only a little group of mud-slingers andchurch haters.

The disciples still put their race above all others; theylooked down on all other races as inferior groups. ManyJews are still that way. I met a Jewish lady on the trainthat thought their group was the only group that was right. She compared the Christians to heathens and likened Jesusto Hitler. A Jewish lady in one town, who was supposed tobe a Christian told me, "You Gentiles should be proud thatJesus came and died for your sins." What about you T" , Iasked. "Oh, we would have been saved anyway," shesnapped. She felt like all the Jews would be saved because oftheir race. We are saved by grace and not by race.

The Jews are not all that way. Some of the best people Ihave ever met are Jewish. The Jews are no worse than manyof our church members, who have been taught that theirchurch is right and all other churches are wrong. Holdingto the tradition of the elders they make the Word of Godof none effect. They don't realize they have denominationalpride just as the Jews had national pride. Neither of themclaim to believe in segregation, but both parties certainlypractice it. They are continually building fences and draw-ing lines! I gave one man a book. He turned up his noseand was afraid to read it. He lets someone keep him indarkness and superstition; he is as bad as the Jews orany cult about his religion. He is afraid he will have toconfess to a preacher whom he pays to do his praying, hisreading, and his thinking. He should have horse sense. Evena horse eats the hay and leaves the briars. Suppose hispreacher is wrong. If the blind lead the blind they will bothfall into the ditch. He should have the Holy Spirit to leadand guide him and know God for himself. He should go di-rectly to the Lord and have a personal contact with Him.Then he could be led by his actions on the judgment of hisleader, who has never had the Holy Spirit.

Too many church members today want to turn peopleway if they don't belong to their organization.

Recently I prayed for a fine Christian lady of anotherace. She was instantly healed of a totally blind eye, whichad been blind for years. Were the people glad? A fewere. Had it been the mayor's wife they would have been

unning over with joy. But God loves the minority groups well as He loves the mayor's wife. In my last meetingfine little woman of another denomination was given one ofy books. While she was reading that book she received

he Holy Ghost! That was wonderful! She was a crippledady. She was suddenly healed and walked without the aidf crutches. She came back night after night without thoserutches. Were the people glad? Had it happened in theirhurch the town would have known about it!A little Baptist lady had been in one church for eight

ears; she was healed instantly without laying hands oner. The people became angry! You see it did not takelace in their church.Recently I was in a meeting. There was a state law thatcertain race could not come in. They had to be barred

rom coming under the tent and receiving deliverance whilehe other race was there. Well, the disciples felt the sameay about the poor Syrophenician woman who came to re-eive healing for her daughter. They wanted to send her

The Children's BreadIf a little lady can receive healing for her daughterhen she is not a child of God surely you can be healed, hen you are His child. Jesus came and rent the veil. Theiddle wall of partition was broken down. (Eph. 2:14).w all people are equal in the sight of God. Jesus appearedthe presence of God for us all.All of God's people are one (John 17:21). Just as you have

ne local church and many Sunday School classes, organizedcarryon the work of the Lord more effectively, so Jesus

as only one church. Although man may divide it into dif-rent organizations. They are only organized to carryonart of this great work. Of course, there are tares and

    -6-

wheat in each organization. Don't try to separate them. LetGod do that.

That is one way Jesus caused the woman to hold on, andkeep on. That made her exercise her faith. In this wayJesus saw her faith in action. He said healing was the chil-dren's bread.

When Naomi told Ruth to go back she made a decisionand had a greater determination than ever. She won thebattle!

When Elijah told Elisha to return from following him hebraced himself for the battle and pressed on and won out byfaith. His faith went to work and won over opposition. The Lord told Moses, "Leave me alone; let me destroythese people." Moses' faith went to work. The very fact thatthe Lord said, "Leave me alone" showed that there was apossibility for him to continue on in prayer and save theChildren of Israel. This he did (Ex. 32 :32).

The very fact that the Lord bargained with Abrahamshowed it was possible for him to hold back the judgmentfrom Lot. The Lord did not condemn him for doing this;He commended him! He was called the father of the faith-ful! The Kingdom of Heaven is preached and every manmay press into it. The violent takes it by force.

The Lord commended this little woman who kept on. Shekept on until she received healing for her daughter. In theface of discouragement; in the face of race discrimination, segregation, and denominational pride, she kept on. Jesussaid, "Great is thy faith". Jesus likes people who will presspast the props and go through to victory in the face ofopposition!

As Humble As a DogThat is another way that woman was made to keep on.

She knew that a dog had some rights. She became as humbleas a dog.

Try to make a dog mad at you. You might succeed. Butfive minutes later he is laughing! He forgives you. Makesome church members mad at you. In five years they arestill talking about you all over town.

This woman was not stuck up with race hatred and na--7-

tional pride. She was not bound by prejudice and denomina-tional hatred.

The church members of today will say, "Maybe God givesme this sickness to keep me humble." This little lady didnot walk away with the excuse. She humbled herself.

"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shalllift you up" (James 4:10).

Great Is Thy FaithWhen Jesus saw her faith He told her she could have

whatever she wanted. He said that to a Gentile lady. He said that twice that

we know. Both times He was speaking to Gentiles. Theoutsiders had more faith than the members. Both partiesbelieved when it was not 'promised to them.

In the last few years we have seen teaming thousandsof people, of other churches, come in and receive healingwhile many of our people who claim to be full gospel makeexcuses for not being delivered. They have so much tradi-tion, when some outsider has perfect faith.

The other night when many of the members were prayedfor, and came back the second time in the line for healing, itseemed discouraging. Then the next night several sinnerscame forward and were healed! God saved and healed themin the same minute. They seemed to have perfect faith. They were delivered from alcohol and filled with the Spirit.

A few weeks ago in an auditorium meeting in NewOrleans a young lady of another race came into the line tobe healed. The Lord showed me that she was not saved. She confessed her sins. Then instantly the Lord completelyhealed her of a totally blind eye. Some of the memberscould not understand how that sinner could have such per-feet faith for instant healing when they stood back sayingthey had a thorn in the flesh.

We have seen many bootleggers and harlots come andbe set free by God's mighty miracle power. They were savedand healed the same night. The other night a lady came tobe prayed for. I perceived that she was not saved. She wasbound by sin. I laid my hand on her ear that had been totallydeaf from birth. Itwas instantly healed! Then she gave her

heart to God. What wonderful faith some sinners have! Itamazes me to think about such faith.

This little lady was one that Jesus told she had greatfaith. The Centurion was the other. Both of them believedat a word. Both of them believed that God would healat a distance (Matt. 8)

Both of these people came for others. Both received an-swers to their prayers. Both of them were of other racesand other denominations.

In the New Testament times the disciples and Jesussaw greater miracles among people of other races, othercountries and other religions. They won them by miracles. When we go near the border of this country where thereare foreigners; when we go into other countries among theforeign speaking people we see greater miracles than ever!

The Lord said that if we would carry the gospel to everycreature that the signs would follow our ministry. He saidthat the disciples went EVERYWHERE, the Lord workingwith them confirming the Word with signs following (Mark16:20). Just before Jesus went away that was His last mes-sage. His last commendment, was that His people would goback and be endued with power, then carry the gospel toEVERY CREATURE. He promised that if we would dothat, the signs would follow our ministry. Nothing pleasesthe Lord any better than for LIS to go to all people, the peopleof other races, other churches and other countries. He workswith us confirming the Word. He has not made that promiseto the people who are only interested in their own denomi-nation, own race, and own relatives.

Why do we see thousands of Presbyterian, Methodist,Baptist, Catholic, and people of all faiths filled with theHoly Ghost instantly, while many people who are around thefull gospel churches claim they have been seeking for yearswith no results? Answer: When we are interested in allgroups, when we go to EVERY CREATURE God workswith us confirming the word. If we stay with our own re-ligion, own race, and own relatives, God has not promisedto work with us. He does not work miracles for people whoare so selfish they are not interested in anyone but theirown group.

The Lord Will Heal SinnersWe find many places in the Bible that He healed sinners.

We have seen a great number of sinners instantly healed.I don't understand it, but it happens anyway.

In the Bible times healing seemed to be a doorstep to sal-vation. After 'people experienced healing they then believedon the Lord for their salvation. (Act 9:35, 42; John 5:14).

You say healing is not promised to sinners. Healing is thechildren's bread. Well, the Lord heals some sinners anyway. He can do anything He wants to do. His mercy, compassionand grace causes Him to relieve the suffering sinner.

This lady came to Jesus. Her daughter was healed byproxy. She came in another's stead. We have seen manypeople come into a service for someone else. Many of themhave come into the healing line for a relative or a friend.God would answer prayer and heal their friend at a dist-ance. Not long ago a lady came in her daughter's stead. Inanother state her daughter was healed. A lady came in herfriend's stead. Her friend in a hospital in another city washealed of paralysis. When five doctors came in the nextmorning to see her die she was completely well!

Children's BreadJesus made it very clear that healing is the children's

bread. He says if we ask for a piece of bread He will notgive us a stone (Luke 11 :11). Jesus is the Bread of Life.He is the Manna that came from heaven.

The bread belongs to the children. Are you His child? Then put your feet under His table and eat! Feel at home!If your child asks for bread the wrong way you under-stand. You will not let it starve. God is more merciful to

His children than you are to yours. Does your child worryall day, afraid that you are going to give it a stone insteadof bread? We should put perfect confidence in the Lord.We should not worry, nor fear we will receive a cancer in-stead of perfect deliverance and healing.

I used to think a child was a lot of trouble until one wasborn in our home. Then he was not the trouble I hadthought. I did not mind waiting on him in the middle ofthe night. I really enjoyed it. I wanted to feed him.

You don't worry the Lord when you come to Him. He list-ens all the day to hear His children pray.

Even As Thou WiltAfter you think it over, that is what God is actually tell-

ing us. He that believeth hath. Take whatever you will(Matt. 15:28).At the Pool of Bethesda Jesus asked a man, "Wilt thoube made whole?" The man had to become willing beforeHe could help him. God won't save, heal, or baptize usagainst our will.A young man made a vow to the Lord, "If you will blessmy ministry I will never marry." The Lord will bless aman's ministry even if he does marry. After fourteen yearsthe man is still working alone. He could have accepted amarried life, a happy home, plus a blessed ministry. Heonly accepted what he was willing to take. His own willshut him off from the rest of God's blessings.

I prayed for a lady to receive healing for her ear. Shereceived a marvelous healing. I started to pray for the otherear. "Oh no," she said, "I only came for healing in thisear." She received what she came for. That explains whysome folk are saved but don't have the Holy Ghost. Theywere given what they were willing to receive.

Some come for prayer. Some come for healing. Some areprayed for and are not healed. Others are healed and notprayed for. Some are healed at a touch; some are healed ata. word. Others are not willing to accept their healing untilthey are marched through a line. Be it unto thee even asthou will. Some believe that sickness is a blessing; so they arenot willing to lose their blessing. If you think it is God'swill for you to be sick then you are not willing to be healed. For you are not willing to go against God's will. If youwould rather have sympathy than healing then you arenot willing to be healed. One man would not accept his heal-ing until after he settled with the insurance company, forfear he would lose three thousand dollars. God would notforce healing on him against his will. Be it unto you evenas you will.

"Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord piti-eth them that fear him" (Ps. 103:13).

Our ExampleJesus set us an example that we should follow His steps.

As He is so are we in this world. The works that He didwe are to do also. As His Father sent Him so He sendsus. We go in His name. We represent Him. He went to allraces and all denominations. He did not stand back becauseof racial pride or denominational prejudice. He ministered toall. Signs followed His ministry. He did not have only na-tural love that stops with our relatives or our race. Hehad divine love that reached to all churches and to all coun-tries.The disciples followed His steps. They went into all theworld and preached the gospel to every creature. How canyou have a ministry with signs following? How can youhave God work with you confirming the Word? Follow Hisexample and minister to all. Have the love of God thatreaches out to all people without respect to persons.

"And they went forth, and preached EVERYWHERE,the Lord working with them, and CONF1RMING the wordwith signs following" (Mark 16:20).

Chapter IIA MUST IN THE MINISTRY

One time Jesus left Judaea and started to Galilee. But HeMUST go through Samaria. It was an urgent mission forsomething. It was every important. It was more importantthan a business trip, a real estate deal, an oil well, or a Sum-mit conference. There was one hungry soul that needed Hishelp. Jesus knew this by the word of knowledge. Had therebeen no one in that country in trouble but that one womanHe would have gone to help her.

It was not popular for Jesus to go through that country. Those people were looked down on as half-breeds, servants,an inferior class, off brands, and of the lower level.

It was counted a reproach for a Jew to talk to a Sa-maritan. The Jews had no dealings with them.

Would Jesus make Himself an object of criticism? WouldHe risk His reputation? Would He go against public opin-ion to win a women who would never be a popular memberin a synagogue?

Jesus must go! There was a compelling force, a cryingneed, a strong call, a clear leading of the Spirit. Jesus hadcome for all races; that WHOSOEVER believeth on Himshould not perish.

Jesus said that He MUST be about His Father's business. He said the Son of man MUST suffer many things. He said,"I MUST preach the Kingdom of God in other cities also".He said, "Ye MUST be born again". He said "so MUST theson of man be lifted up". He said, "They that worship himMUST worship him in Spirit and in truth." I-Ie said, "IMUST work the work of him that sent me while it is day."There were things that Jesus MUST DO. He MUST gothrough Samaria.

There are a few things today that Jesus MUST DO, a fewthings that we MUST DO. He said we will hear of wars andrumors of wars, "For such things MUST BE." He also said,"And the gospel MUST first be published among all nations"(Mark 13:10). This is a must. That is why the signs followour ministry, because we are obeying His command to pub-

lish the gospel to ALL people, regardless of race, religion,or relatives. That is why signs followed His ministry. Thatis why the Lord works with us, confirming the Word. Welove all people. You say, "Well, the signs will follow if youhave faith". You won't have faith if you are only inter.ested in your own race, own color, and own church. Faithwithout works is dead being alone. If you love all racesand denominations well enough to do something about it youwill have faith that produces signs following. Faith worksby love (Gal. 5:6). Ifyou have God's love you have God'sfaith. If you have the Spirit you have the fruit of theSpirit. The fruit of the Spirit is both love and. faith. Godis love. If you have God you will love, not just your ownchurch and own color. You will love all countries, allchurches, all colors and all classes.

    Message of Deliverance

    The Disciples Surprised

Jesus brought the woman a message of deliverance. Itwas not a message about His race, but His grace. It wasnot a dead creed but a living Saviour; it was not a formalritual but a living message; it was not a church doctrinebut a present reality. The message was not about a deadLord of Some by gone past, but a present help in time ofneed. It was not about a Christ of the Millenium, but aboutthe Christ who is the same today as He will be then. It wasnot about "The Used to Be" but about "The Great I Am". Itwas not a message about an isolated church with a fencebuilt around it, which shuts out other races and classes, butabout a love that reaches to all classes and colors. He didnot preach a dead sermon which He had practiced on twentyyears; He brought a message that fitted the case; and wentto the heart.

Certain people in this nation, who claim to believe inequality of the races and integration, practice segregation. You can't get into some of their clubs, clicks and classes.Go into their homes and you will see they have servants towait on them. Sure they have class distinction. Go to theirmotels, hotels, hospitals. You will see servants, maids, andporters who do the work; they do the dictation.

You say, "My church doesn't believe in segregation".Maybe not. But I was in one full gospel church lately. Thepastor told me he had several different classes. Neither classwould mix with the other. That is the carnal nature. Whenyou are full of the Spirit you will love all people.

Some people will send millions of dollars abroad if theyknow that the public knows about it, but are they really in-terested in other races? Will they do like the good Sa-maritan, stop and help some man of another race out of theditch, or will they walk by on the other side? How aboutthe minor races and groups in this nation? Will they try towin them? If not then their mission money is not givenin the right spirit; they have their reward.

Some people can shout in their church but in anotherchurch they sit and look like a tree full of owls. A realChristian will pray anywhere! If vou try to get people

They saw Jesus talking to a woman, a sinner, of anotherroup, another race, another class, another denomination."Jesus, don't you know that woman is a street walke~'?

he will never help your reputation?", I can hear one dIS-ple saying."I am come to help all people. I have no respect to per-"She is not wealthy, she is of a low class. People will

riticize you. You will certainly be misunderstood," nooubt Peter was saying."I am concerned about her problems, her burdens, hereeds and her soul." Jesus wanted to help her, not for anyarthly gain He was seeking; not for advancement or posi-ion, not for a higher salary, not to get His picture in theily paper; but duty calls. He "MUST" respond! Many people don't understand why we go to street meet-gs, to theaters, tent campaigns, and other places. We haveesus. The Holy Spirit reaches out to all classes and allolors. We MUST go to all people, even to the remote partsf the world, to people of another nationality or another

The Supernatural Wins SoulsJesus told the woman the secrets of her heart. This causeder to acknowledge that He was sent of God. He said, "Goall your husband". He told her that she was living with aan without being married. He told her just how manyes she had been married. This was a word of knowledge in

peration. People criticize this gift today; but the gifts ofe Spirit in operation wins the lost.As far as the woman was concerned that was proof to

er that He was a prophet. She did not say, "I perceiveat you are a fortune-teller". She did not say, "You are us-g mental telepathy or mind over matter" .She was a wicked

inner, but she had more discerning of spirits than manyreachers have today. While the high up church leaders ofat day were saying that Jesus was of the devil, and doingis works with the devil's power, she perceived that Heas sent from God.Jesus was not swayed by tradition. The woman did nott tradition keep her away from spiritual help as people

today. She was a wicked woman, but at that she was not aswicked as the church leaders of that day who made theblasphemous accusation that Jesus was using mental telep-athy. Jesus told them they were committing the unpardon-able sin when they accused Him of using evil power to dohis work (Matt. 12 :32).

Living WaterJesus saw the woman's faith and gave her the living

water, a well springing up that she did not need to draw. She had a foretaste of heaven and ran to tell others! Sheleft the water pot and took the well back!

Many people today need to meet the Master. They needthe living water. They need to leave their water pots ofchurch creeds and race -prejudice. They need to leave theirracial pride and criticism. They need to forsake their waterpots of sectarianism and narrow-mindedness. Then they willbe willing to tell everyone; not only their own race andown denomination. They will make the campaign. city-wideand take the glad news to every race, creed, and color.

The woman did not stay only with her own creed and ownsect. She went beyond her nationality and her own denomi-nation. She was not so narrow that she thought her owngroup was the only one that was right. She found the realChrist. She found the living water 1 She found instant de-liverance from sin and bondage. She did not beg, plead, pull, tarry, and pray for ten years for that experience. She re-ceived instant deliverance. That is the kind of power thatis in the revival where people are interested in all people.

The woman did not do penance. She was delivered beforeshe learned the catechism or joined the church. She was setfree from sin before she was baptized. She did not have togo to school for years to learn how to be a Christian. Shedid not receive a religion; she received a living Saviour! When I married I did not receive a married religion. Ireceived a real person, and a real companion.

One minute the woman was a child of the devil; the nextminute she was a child of God. One minute she was empty;the next minute she was full!

    City Wide Revival

Not a Pull But a PushNo one pulled strings and gave her a revival. She did

not have a pull, but she had a push. He that has a push willcatch up with him that has a pull. She was not advertised asa ball of fire; she was a flame of fire! She was not cut offfrom the source of supply. Some people burn out when theybecome a "ball of fire" evangelist. Christ worked with herconfirming the Word.

She did not wait to be sent; she felt an urge! She hadGod! She loved all people. She had the "go ye". She feltthe well springing up within; she felt fire shut up in herbones! She could not have held a church office; she was anovice. But she won souls. She was not experienced. Shewas not elected a leader of a group; was not an official, butshe had the anointing! She had not gone to Bible schooland learned to preach Christ. She learned more in that oneconversation than she could have learned at school in a lifetime. She learned that they that worship God must wor-ship Him in Spirit and in truth. It worked! It broughtresults. The woman won souls to God because she worshippedGod in the Spirit. She did not depend on words of man'swisdom, but the power and the demonstration of the Spirit. The Lord worked with her!If we would get the anointing; if we would get the bur-

den and the compassion; if we would see all men alike; ifwe would go out into the highways and hedges; if we wouldgo into the city and contact the unreached; if we wouldrealize that there are untold millions untold; then Godwould work with us with signs following. Too many peoplepray like this, "Lord save me and my wife, my son and hiswife; these four and no more."

gone to the depth of sin came forward and was delivered in-stantly. One minute she was bound; the next minute shewas free!

During that same meeting two girls came to make fun. They thought we were false prophets. Then before long theyperceived that we were sent of God. They both were de-livered and set free! They were happy for their experience .. A : ; low down in sin as they went they still had more discern-ing of spirits than many religious leaders in that city.

How long did it take the woman to be converted? Themoment she received Christ she was changed! She couldhave gone to school for years and not known the reality ofChrist. She received Him instantly."But as many as received him, to them gave he powerto become the sons of God, even to them that believe onhis name."

She did more than just testify at church on prayer meet-ing night. She went out and stirred the city for God. A citywide revival was the results. Many people came to God.They saw a change in the woman. All this took place outside the church house. That is why signs followed. Jesuswas concerned about more than forty between four walls. Hewas interested in EVERY CREATURE.

The woman was not ashamed of the Christ that saved her.She went against public opinion. She saw the light on de-liverance. She did not confine herself to one group and oneclass. She did not confine herself to one church organiza-tion, meeting house, or denomination.

She did not qualify for ordination, but preached Christand won many people to God. She was not confined to theupper crust or the lower class; she carried the glad newsto all. She went to the aristocrats and and the ally rats, tothe in-laws and the out-laws, to the theaters and dancehalls, to the road houses, prisons, jails and clubs. She wasnot backed by a formal church. She was sent and backed byJesus. She went in His name. She did not go to only onechurch; she went into the city and told all men!

She Preached ChristPaul determined to know nothing but Christ. Peter opened

his mouth and preached Jesus. Philip went to Samaria andpreached Christ. This lady told people about Christ. Thetestimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy.

She did not preach an organization, a creed, or a million-18- -19-

dollar church house, she preached John 3:16. She said,"Come see a man, who told me all things." She preachedabout the word of knowledge; she preached about the mani-festation of a spiritual gift. She offered that as proof thatthe supernatural Christ was present. That won men!

She did not say, "Come see my new pastor; come see ourorganization; come see my creed, ritual, or fast growingBib1e School." She did not preach her race; she preachedGod's grace.

She did not preach her family tree. She preached Jesus. That is why signs followed. She believed in Christ. Christbelieved in the equality of all people. We are living in atime of revival when God-is pouring out His Spirit on allflesh (Acts 2:15-20)

Organization or OrganismThis little lady was part of a living organism, which had

life. An organization may not always have life. She belongedto a spiritual fellowship. She had leaped across denomina-tional barriers and racial distinction.

A lady dreamed she died and went to heaven. To hersurprise there were no Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian,or any other denominations there.

"Where is my denomination?" she inquired."There are no denominations up here", she was told,

"everyone belongs to the one family of God".This same lady dreamed that she died and went to hell.

There she sawall denominations.Go to China and you will see people there with five hun-dred gods. Start preaching your denomination to them. They will say, "I thought you Americans only had one god.I see you have more gods than we have."

Preach a resurrected Christ to them. When they see thatHe is-alive today they will surrender their lives to Jesus!

    Chapter IIICHRISTIANS ARE CHRISTLIKE

Jesus commended the Centurion and said that he hadmore faith than any of His people. The Centurion was nota Christian, yet he had more faith than God's people. Hewas not tied to one race or one denomination (Matt. 8)

The Jews said, "You really should heal this man's servantbecause he is worthy; he built us a synagogue." Jesus ig-nored such reasoning. Jesus does not heal people for anygoodness of their own. Our righteousness is as filthy rags inGod's sight. It is not what we have done for Jesus thatcounts, but what He has done for us. Itis not by our stripes, but by His stripes, that we are healed (IPeter 2 :24) .

The Centurion came to the Lord and said, "I am notworthy". His servant was healed. His servant was healedby proxy. If you think you are worthy you are not (Matt. 8).

The Pharisees thought they had a monopoly on Jesus. They were glad that they were not like other people.

Modern PhariseesA millionnaire came into the healing line one night and

stopped me. "Do you remember who I am?" he said. As Istarted to acknowledge him the anointing left me! He wasnot healed. He died a short time later. It is not who youare. It is who He is that counts.

Jesus told the Centurion that he had great faith. The Pharisees missed the revival in Jesus' day becausethey were depending on who they were. They could not un-derstand that Jesus came for all races and all people. Manypeople don't understand that God is pouring out His Spiritupon all flesh in this last day revival. They stand back, criticize and miss the blessing.

Paul Learned His LessonHe was an orthodox Jew, a real strict Pharisee. He was

willing to die for his religion and though t no other re-ligion was right. He could not be changed except by judg-ment from God. lIe was struck to the earth and saw a light.

In a VISIOn,while he was blind, after he was knocked tothe earth, while he was fasting, he was taught that Godwanted him to go carry the gospel to all nations. He sawt~at God loved all people. He was appointed a life of persecu-tion and suffering. Anyone who loves all people will sufferpersecutions.

Paul accepted the revelation that all races are equal. Hep:acticed ,:hat he preached and carried Timothy along withhim as his helper. The Jews were segregationists andwanted to kill Paul for doing so. (Acts 21 :28). Paul met per-secutions by his own church because He loved all people.Acts21:21. my Crown", the one on the next block is singing, "No notone".

They sing, "Happy day, when Jesus washed my sinsaway." But they have not seen a happy day since. They sing"Everybody will be happy over there." But you must behappy down here.

The Democrats say the Republicans are wrong. The Re-publicans say the Democrats are wrong. They are bothright. Each church says the other is wrong. They are bothright, because they fight each other.

The sailor boys fought the soldier boys. The soldier boysfought the sailors. But when they found that the Japanesewere their enemy they won the war! If the church ofAmerica will learn that the devil is their enemy, and fighthim instead of each other, we can win the world for Christ. If a farmer takes some cotton to town, the company

who buys the cotton does not ask him which road he came. The one thing the buyer is interested in is, "Do you havegood cotton 7" God is not so interested which organizationyou belong to. The thing is this: Do you have Jesus in yourheart 7Are you born from above 7

Sectarian SpiritJohn saw another group casting out devils. Yet they did

not belong to his church. He wanted to call fire down fromheaven and destroy them. But he did not know what man-ner of spirit he was of (Mark 9:38). Many preachers todayhave that same spirit. They want the other group to beunder their jurisdiction, so they can legislate and censorthem. John wanted the world to know he did not endorseor recommend the other group. Jesus said forbid them not.

Jesus did not say, "Leave them alone." He did not saythat you could not speak to them. He was not against them(v. 40). He had other sheep which were not of that fold.(John 10:16).

The other group could not be wrong; for Satan does notcast out Satan (Luke 11:18). This proved that Jesus doesnot force all Christians to belong to one group. Jesus is the

Mrs. Nobody elected to help his own denomination. He was so busy help-ing "his own church". He did not believe in foreign mis-sions. He felt his race was superior to others.

A Samaritan came along. He looked at the man with com-passion. He was not of his race or of his church. Yet herisked his life among the thieves to help the stranger. Hebound up his wounds and poured in the oil. He carried himto an inn. He told the keeper to care for the man and hewould pay the bill. Had he been like the deacon he wouldhave said, "I have paid my tithes and supported my church;that is my part." The love of God does not stop at your ownchurch or after you have paid tithes.

Some matches won't strike anywhere but on their ownbox. I like a match that will strike anywhere. A real Chris-tian will have compassion anywhere. A real Christian willgive in the offering in a tent, auditorium or in anotherchurch. If you will obey Jesus' command to carry the gos-pel to every creature-s-even outside your own church-thenthe signs will follow your ministry. You can have compas-sion and bind up the wounds.

The One StrangerJesus told such stories as the one above, and worked

such miracles as the following, in order to stress it to theproud Pharisee's mind that all people were equal in Hissight.

Ten lepers came to Jesus. Jesus told them something todo. As they obeyed Him they were cleansed. Nine of themthought that was no more than His duty. They felt likeHe owed it to them, that they were worthy. They werechurch members, you know. They were not thankful.

One of the lepers returned and glorified the Lord. Hepoured out his heart with gratitude. He was a stranger. He did not feel he was worthy. He did not feel he was equalwith Jesus. He was of another denomination, of anotherrace. Jesus commended him. He used that as an object les-son to those church members, who thought they were bet-ter than others. This stranger was made whole! He had awhole eye, a whole hand, and a whole foot. The others wereonly cleansed. (Luke 17).

A lady spent all she had on physicians. She grew worse.he was sent home to die. The Bible really does not sayhether she was a little woman or big woman, Jewish orentile, brown or white, pretty or ugly. We don't knowhether she was large or small, short or tall, bad or good.e don't know anything about her. She was a stranger, ars. Nobody. (Mark 5)She pressed past the props. She passed all opposition. She

eached through the crowd and touched the hem of His gar-ent. She pressed past the denominational fence, the racearrier, and religious prejudice. She passed doubters andouters, the Pharisees and the Sadducees, the mockers andcoffers. She felt that Jesus had no respect to presons. She believed in feelings. Jesus believed in feelings. He

elt that virtue had gone out of His body. She felt thathe plague was gone. Jesus said, "Somebody touched me".he was not a Mrs. Nobody anymore. She was a Mrs. Some-ody. Regardless of who you are; regardless of what youelong to, if you have faith in Jesus; if you press past racerejudice and fences, and touch Him by faith you will havehe virture of Christ. He is the divine nature in your mortalody! You will have royal blood flowing in your veins! Re-ardless of your religion and race you can come to Christnd receive His virtue and be made whole! We have seen people who were cleansed from sin comeback, humble themselves and pour out their hearts in grati-tude to Jesus. They received the whole armor of God. Manytimes they were of another race or another denomination, while our own people felt that God owed it to them. Theywere not so thankful. You can see why the signs followedesus' ministry. He felt a compassion for EVERY CREA-URE. He is our example.

His BrethrenThe Bible school in one town taught that all the Jewsould be saved because they are Christ's brethren. Theyaid that Americans would be saved because they areriendly to Christ's brethren. Who are His brethren? Jesusaid that whosoever does the will of His Father is Hisrother (Matt. 12:46-50).He made it clear to those stiff, starchy church members

hat no one had any monopoly on Him. They are not aheadf anyone else. We are all equal. There is no other way toe saved except through Jesus. If you don't believe that Hes the Christ the wrath of God abides on you. We mustll come in the same way. He is a Jew that is a Jew in-ardly. He that is a Jew outwardly is not a Jew. If weut everyone equal, as did Jesus, then the signs will fol-w (Mark 16:15-18).

traveling I've seen people look out the window of planes, trains, and buses. They felt they were a high class; theywould not talk. They were segregated into denominations, clubs, classes, nationalities politics and races. They wereproud and haughty.

Some church groups think they are the only ones who areright; that others are off brands. In some parts of the cityyou can't live unless you are able to build a hundred thou-sand dollar home. In some churches you can't be a memberunless you can buy a long tail coat.

After I see all this I want to be sure and treat all peo-ple alike and carry the gospel to every creature, regardlessof their race, class, church, or color. Then God will confirmthe Word.

I've Seen SegregationWhen I was small I had an inferior complex. I crawlednder the bed when someone came. I went barefooted.ther school children made fun of my mother's thirteenhildren because they went barefooted and did not havenough in their dinner pail. We went to the bushes to eat.thers would not associate with us because we could notress like them.I was run away from church, kicked out of the altar, hipped, scratched, hit in the head with a pipe. I lost myirl friends, because I was from a different section of theoods and was of a different class. I was left out of thell games, clubs, parties, and entertainments. In church I found splits, splinters, clicks, and clans. In

The Nationality of JesusRachel was the great grandmother of Jesus. This within

itself made Jesus half Jew, naturally speaking, for Rachelwas a Gentile. Rebekah was a Gentile; she was the greatgrandmother of Jesus; this made Jesus only one-fourth Jew(naturally speaking). Bathsheba was a great grandmotherof Jesus. This made Jesus only one-eighth Jews. Ruth wasanother Gentile lady, who became great grandmother ofJesus, which made Him one-sixteenth Jew. Jesus did nothave any earthly father, which made Jesus only one-thirty-second Jew. By the time we traced the natural linage ofJesus for four thousand years there would not be very muchof the Jew, or another race, to boast about in the natural.Jesus came to die for all the people of the world. He didnot love the Jew anymore than He loved any other race. Hedid not love any other race anymore than He did the Jew.With Him all men are born equal. In God's sight one raceis as good as another.

He that is a Jew outwardly is not a Jew (Rom. 2 :28).He is a Jew that is a Jew inwardly. He that is circumcised atheart is a Jew (Rom. 2 :29). The natural race of Israelboasted in the fact that they were Jews. Jesus detestedsuch racial pride. Jesus was the true Jew. He was the seedof Abraham (Gal. 3:16). If you are a Christian then youare of the seed of Abraham; we are the only true Jew.

    Everyone That Asketh

He is sending and telling all people of all churches, of allnations. Go and preach the gospel to every creature. Goand tell all nations. The gospel must first be published toall nations; then the end will come (Mark. 13:10).

The people could not understand why Jesus ate with"sinners" (Mark 2:16) That is the kind of people Jesuscame to save and heal! That is the kind of people He sentyou and me after. He did not say for us to sit in one placeand expect people to come to us. He says, "Go ye into ALLthe world, and preach the gospel to EVERY CREATURE. . . And these signs shall follow them that believe: Inmy name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak withnew tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if theydrink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shalllay hands on the sick and they shall recover" (Mark 16:15-18) .

Do you want the signs to follow your ministry? Do youwant the Lord to work with you, confirming the Wordwith signs following? Then you work with the Lord andHe will work with you. He will confirm the Word withsigns following if you will do as the people of the earlyChurch. Carry the gospel to every creature. Go into all theworld. Go to every creature, regardless of race, color, creed,or church. The Lord is going to them. Go with Him and Hewill go with you. He will confirm the Word with signs fol-lowinz. (Mark 16:20).

Now you can see how Jesus is interested in all the peo-le of the earth. "For God so loved the world, that heave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believethn him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John:16) ."And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I

He is telling us to go outto the highways and hedges and compel people to come inat His house will be full. Yet there is room. Come for allings are now ready (Luke 14:21).He is telling us to bring in the poor, the lame, the halt,e blind, and WHOSOEVER WILL.
