How to get to Venice Venice can be reached directly by air, car and train. By Plane (Marco Polo Venice Airport) There are several services that run from the airport to Venice: ACTV bus n5 to Piazzale Roma city terminal leaves from the platforms outside the arrival hall. How to get to the conference venue Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista di Venezia Sestiere di San Polo, 2454 – 30125 Venezia Main Entrance N. 2454 From the train station Exit the station and cross the Ponte degli Scalzi. Continue on the right along the Fondamenta S.Simeon Piccolo, turn left into Calle Nova de S.Simeon. Continue for the Ramo delle Chioverete, Calle delle Chioverete and Calle Sechera. Cross Ponte Canal and continue for the Calle de la Laca; you arrive at Campiello della Scuola: main entrance is on the left.

From Piazzale Roma (Bus Stop) Passing through the souvenirs stands you arrive at a white marble bridge; cross it and continue straight across the Giardini Papadopoli. Cross the Ponte dei Tolentini and turn left. Continue towards the porch that leads into Calle dei Amai. Pass the Ponte delle Sechere and bear left for Calle del Campazzo. Continue until Calle de la Laca. Turn right and continue until Campiello della Scuola: main entrance is on the left.

From the airport Take the bus number 5 for Venice. Alight at the terminus (Piazzale Roma - Bus stop). Follow the above directions. From San Toma – Waterbus (Vaporetto) stop - Line 1,2 e NOTTURNA (night waterbus) Alight from waterbus (vaporetto) at S. Toma`, continue along the calle and at the end turn right into Campo S.Toma`. From Campo S.Toma` take the Ramo dei Calegheri, and at the end turn left and then right into Calle Larga. Continue down the Calle Larga until Campo dei Frari. From Campo dei Frari turn right alongside the Basilica dei Frari. Cross Ponte dei Frari and turn left. Cross Ponte di S.Stin and turn left in Rio Tera` S.Toma` until Calle del Magazen. Cover the all Calle del Magazen until Marble Septum which is the entrance of Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista. Enter the Campiello della Scuola: main entrance is on the right.
