2. Ask your professor if they have an opening
3. Apply for as many positions as you can
4. Use an email template, but double check before you send it to each PI
5. Pick projects/research labs you’re genuinely interested in
6. Do your research and prepare insightful questions
7. Don’t overbook your interviews
8. Dress appropriately for your interview
9. Thank the PI afterwards through email
