1 HOW TO GENERATE A CPL WFG National Title provides agents with a straightforward method for generating CPLs electronically using our Agent Management Site (“AMS”). From the AMS site, you can also access the policy jacket generator, search the Specially Designated Nationals List, or access the Rate Calculator. The training below focuses solely on how to create a closing protection letter, or CPL, on the AMS site. 1. HOW TO GENERATE A CPL WFG National Title provides agents with a straightforward method for generating CPLs electronically using our Agent Management Site (“AMS”). The training below focuses solely on how to create a closing protection letter, or CPL, on the AMS site.
1. From the WFG home page, www.wfgnationaltite.com, select the “Title Agent Login” link in the
upper right corner, which will take you to the Agent Management System, or AMS, login screen.

3. You will now be on the AMS welcome screen.
4. From the AMS welcome screen, you will access the CPL system through the menu bar below the
Williston Financial Group logo. Select “Services,” “Closing Protection Letters,” “Create CPL.”

5. This screen is the main menu for the CPL system and will display your user information and a list of
the states you authorized to issue CPLs in. 6. To generate a CPL, choose “Create Letters,” from the Closing Protection Letters menu bar.

7. Using the drop down menu select the “Property State,” and the “Send Method” (online, email, fax, or both email and fax) for delivering the letter.
8. Select the letter type. Chose “Transaction.”

9. Choose the agency location that the letter is being issued for in “Agency Details.” 10. Select the Lender from the drop down box. If the Lender is not listed, click “Add” to the right, and
enter the Lender’s information.

11. Enter the Borrower and Property information, as well as a Loan Reference Number or Agent File Reference Number.
12. After entering the information, select “Preview Letter” to review the letter before issuing it.

13. Click the link to review the letter.
14. It will open in a new tab for you to review, and you will notice that the letter has a “Preview Only” watermark on it. Therefore, it should not be saved or sent out, as it is not a valid letter.

15. After reviewing the letter, close the tab, and you will be taken back to the review menu screen. If there are changes that need to be made to the letter, click “Edit Letter” and you’ll be taken back to the entry screen. Make the necessary changes and click “Preview Letter” to ensure that your changes have been made.
16. Again, click the link to review the letter, and close the tab once you are finished reviewing.

17. If everything is now correct, click “Send Letter.” 18. This is the CPL online delivery information screen. Had there been no changes that you had to make
to the letter, you would have just selected “Send Letter” instead of “Preview Letter,” which will take you to the same online CPL online delivery information screen.

19. From here you can click the link to display the CPL…
20. …which will open the letter (without a watermark) and allow you to save it to your computer.

21. You also have the option to add email or fax numbers to send the letter to and click “Resend Letter.”
EDITING 22. With the AMS CPL system, you can also edit letters that have already been issued. To do this, select
“Edit Letters” from the Closing Protection Letters menu.

23. Choose the Agency Location and State that the CPL was issued for. A list of the CPLs issued will be displayed.
24. Click on the CPL number to the left of the letter that you need to edit.

25. The information from the issued letter will be displayed for review to ensure that this is the correct
letter that you need to edit.
26. Click “Edit Letter” in order to make changes.

27. Confirm in the pop-up box that you want to edit this CPL. Please note that once the letter is edited, the previous version is cancelled and replaced with the updated letter.
28. The fields will now open for editing.

29. Make the necessary changes and choose “Preview Letter” or “Create Letter.” As with creating the
letter previously, you can preview the letter before issuing it by clicking “Preview Letter” or you can issue the letter by selecting “Create Letter.” Since we’ve already demonstrated the “Preview” option, we’ll select “Create Letter” which will take you the CPL Online Delivery Information Screen.
30. Like before, from here you can click the link to display the CPL which will open the letter and allow
you to save it to your computer using the disk icon at the top left of the screen. You also have the option of adding an email address or fax number that you’d like to send the letter to.
