Why Set Parameters?

A report is a combination

of the layout (what fields to show and in what order) and the parameters (what

flocks and filters to execute the report for).

But what happens if you

want to save more than

one group of parameters

to the same report?

“Parameter Sets” on Aeros LIVE

Aeros LIVE reports includes a feature called

“parameter sets”. Once a report is created you can add as many sets to it as

you’d like.

You can create a parameter

set by right clicking on the main report and selecting

“Create Parameter Set.”

Once you name your

parameter set, you right click

on it and select “Edit Parameters.” Then select

what information you want to

include in your report.

As mentioned, you must

select what information you want to include. Each set

contains its own distinct

selections and filters. There are a total of 9 Steps.

Here’s A Quicker Way to Create a Parameter Set

You can also duplicate an

existing parameter set and give it a name.

Notice you have the same selections as the parameter

you duplicated, so you can

go ahead and make the necessary changes by right

clicking on it and selecting

“Edit Parameters.”

These sets are a great way to unify reporting across many farms and divisions. You can write one report for the business and set-up parameter sets for each distinct business unit.

Note: Parameter sets are only related to the report. If you change the layout of the report, this change will be reflected when you execute its parameter sets.
