Transcript of How To Be Organized – Developing Self Discipline
“Being organized is being in control.”
In order to be organized, you should be:
1STOP
PROCRASTINATING
“Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today”
The longer you delay doing something,
the harder you can get it done.
“ Change your life today.
Don’t gamble on the future, act now without delay”
2GET THINGS THEIR
OWN HOME
“A place for everything and everything in its place.”
If you do not
set a specific placefor everything you have, they may get lost easily.
“ No business can succeed in any great degree
without being properly organized.”
3JUST KEEP WHAT YOU REALLY NEED
“The things you own end up owning you.”
Do not keep the things that you do not really need no matter how beautiful or expensive they are.
You should give the things you no longer need to your relatives, friends, or neighbors
Or you can liquidate them to get some
money
4USE CONTAINERS
This will not only make your house neat, but also help you find them easily when you need them.
“For every minute spent organizing, an hour is earned.”

5DECLUTTER REGULARLY
“You never know what you have until you clean your room.”
Therefore, no matter how busy you are, you should declutter your house at least once a week.
6START YOUR DAY
RIGHT AWAY
“Without hard work, nothing
grows but weeds.”
Thus, you should start your day right away
when you wake up in the morning.
Have something for breakfast, and
start doing exactly what you need to do
Do not waste your time in bed or doing unnecessary things
7PUT THINGS BACK
INSTANTLY
If you take out a pen from a pen vase to write a
letter, put it back when you have finished writing
8AVOID BEING A
“WEEKEND WARRIOR”
Don’t leave your house messy, and only clean it up at weekend
Tidying up everything at weekend
will make you exhausted
If you are a weekend warrior, you will miss
your chances to relax and hang out with your family members or friends
“Being organized isn’t about getting rid of
everything you own or trying to become a different
person; it’s about living the way you want to
live, but better.”
