How the monthly electricity bill for your household is calculated: In general, the monthly electricity bill is calculated on the reading of the meter for 30 days. In the event the meter reading takes place before or after 30 days, the maximum unit limits in the respective blocks will be adjusted accordingly. The monthly bill for domestic users will be calculated under six main blocks. units and Rs. 21 each for the balance units; Plus 40 per cent Fuel Adjustment Charge on the rupee

value of total units consumed and the Monthly Fixed Charge of Rs. 315.

If the monthly electricity consumption between120 and 180

The total bill for those using between 121 and 180 units will be: Rs. 3 each for the first 30 units;

Four rupees and 70 cents each for the next 30 units; Seven rupees and 50 cents each for the next

30 units; Rs. 21 each for the next 30 units and Rs. 24 each for the balance units; Plus 40 per cent

Fuel Adjustment Charge on the rupee value of total units consumed and the Monthly Fixed Charge

of Rs. 315.

If the monthly electricity consumption over 180

The total bill for those using over 180 units will be: Rs. 3 each for the first 30 units; Four rupees and

70 cents each for the next 30 units; Seven rupees and 50 cents each for the next 30 units;Rs. 21

each for the next 30 units; Rs. 24 each for the next 30 units and Rs. 36 each for the balance units;

Plus 40 per cent Fuel Adjustment Charge on the rupee value of total units consumed and the

Monthly Fixed Charge of Rs. 315.
