Five o ther cases had an en tire ly s im ila r
cou rse and wer e cured in the sam e w ay , a l-

w h ich , how ev er, w e trie d the ex pe rim ent o f
using on ly d istilled w ate r.
A few sm art s tro kes on the na tes imm edi-
ately afte r th e in jec tion , con sid erab ly en-
hanced the effec t o f th e trea tm en t.2
