ENGAGE IN MISSION Khani and Britt Makhanya

• Please pray for the Muphamuzi Baby Home during South Africa's national lockdown. There are

many babies in need of homes right now but the process of adoption in the country has slowed

significantly, almost to a standstill. Even though government employees are still supposed to be

working from home, very little headway is being made and this is sadly affecting lots of our little

ones. Please pray that the Lord would work in each of our babies’ unique situations and that they

might not get "stuck" at the baby home too long, but would be able to be placed in forever families

soon.

• Pray for the country as we're dealing with a significant increase in child abandonment during the

coronavirus pandemic. What was already a huge issue in South Africa has increased dramatically.

Pray for the two newborn girls who have just come to MBH during the lockdown and pray that the

Lord would be at work in their little lives, along with all five of the babies we are caring for

presently.

• Praise God with us for providing the funds to purchase a second baby home! We are so excited that

hopefully in early 2021 we will be able to open MBH #2 in the East of Pretoria! Pray with us for the

remaining finances needed to furnish the home and the monthly running costs of taking on another

six babies hopefully soon. We are so excited and so thankful!

• Please pray for Living Hope Church as we have had a few members now become infected with

COVID. Thankfully they are all recovering well, but pray for us as a church to trust the Lord in the

midst of these unusual circumstances. Pray for us also as a church to humbly submit to the

government authorities and the role that God has called them to play in our country and in our lives.

Pray that restrictions might ease some to where we could sing once again as a church together and

maybe even be able to visit others.

• Please pray for us as a family as we welcomed our newest baby boy on 07/27/2020. Pray for us as

we adjust to being a family of four and praise God with us for this sweet blessing He has given us!

Please also pray with us as we pursue adopting our foster son, LJ. Pray that the Lord would move in

his case so that we could adopt him soon. What seems impossible we know is completely in the

Lord's hands and in His timing, and we would appreciate prayers that we would trust Him through

this!

Praise to the Lord,

the Almighty (#2)

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty,

The King of creation!

O my soul, praise Him,

For He is thy health and salvation!

All ye who hear,

Now to His temple draw near;

Praise Him in glad adoration!

Praise to the Lord,

Who o'er all things so wondrously reigneth,

Shelters thee under His wings,

Yea, so gently sustaineth!

Hast Thou not seen

How thy desires e’er have been

Granted in what He ordaineth?

Praise to the Lord,

Who doth prosper thy work and defend thee;

Surely His goodness and mercy

Here daily attend thee.

Ponder anew

What the Almighty can do,

If with His love He befriend thee.

Praise to the Lord,

O let all that is in me adore Him!

All that hath life and breath,

Come now with praises before Him.

Let the amen sound from His people again:

Gladly forever adore Him.

Let the amen sound from His people again;

Gladly forever adore Him!

I Will Wait for You (Psalm 130)

Out of the depths I cry to you,

In darkest places I will call;

Incline Your ear to me anew,

And hear my cry for mercy, Lord.

Were You to count my sinful ways,

How could I come before Your throne?

Yet full forgiveness meets my gaze;

I stand redeemed by grace alone.

I will wait for You, I will wait for You,

On Your Word I will rely.

I will wait for You, I will wait for You,

Till my soul is satisfied.

So put your hope in God alone,

Take courage in His pow’r to save;

Completely and forever won

By Christ, emerging from the grave.

I will wait for You, I will wait for You,

On Your Word I will rely.

I will wait for You, I will wait for You,

Till my soul is satisfied.

His steadfast love has made a way,

And God Himself has paid the price

That all who trust in Him today

Find healing in His sacrifice.

I will wait for You, I will wait for You,

On Your Word I will rely.

I will wait for You, I will wait for You,

Till my soul is satisfied.

I will wait for You, I will wait for You,

Through the storm and through the night.

I will wait for You, Surely wait for You,

For Your love is my delight.

My Soul Finds Rest (#359)

My soul finds rest in God alone,

My rock and my salvation.

A fortress strong against my foes.

And I will not be shaken.

Though lips may bless and hearts may curse,

And lies like arrows pierce me,

I’ll fix my heart on righteousness,

I’ll look to Him who hears me.

O praise Him, hallelujah,

My delight and my reward,

Everlasting, never failing,

My Redeemer, my God.

Page 11: How Deep the Father's Love for Us€¦ · 2/8/2020  · Don’t set your heart upon them; The fields of hope in which I sow Are harvested in heaven. O praise Him, hallelujah, My delight

Find rest, my soul, in God alone,

Amid the world’s temptations;

When evil seeks to take a hold,

I’ll cling to my salvation.

Though riches comes and riches go,

Don’t set your heart upon them;

The fields of hope in which I sow

Are harvested in heaven.

O praise Him, hallelujah,

My delight and my reward,

Everlasting, never failing,

My Redeemer, my God.

I’ll set my gaze on God alone

And trust in Him completely;

With ev’ry day pour out my soul,

And He will prove His mercy.

Though life is but a fleeting breath,

A sigh too brief to measure,

My King has crushed the curse of death,

And I am His forever.

O praise Him, hallelujah,

My delight and my reward,

Everlasting, never failing,

My Redeemer, my God.

O praise Him, hallelujah,

My delight and my reward,

Everlasting, never failing,

My Redeemer, my God.

Dear Refuge of My Weary Soul (#52)

Dear refuge of my weary soul,

On Thee, when sorrows rise,

On Thee, when waves of trouble roll,

My fainting hope relies.

To Thee I tell each rising grief,

For Thou alone canst heal;

Thy Word can bring a sweet relief

For ev’ry pain I feel.

But oh! when gloomy doubts prevail,

I fear to call Thee mine;

The springs of comfort seem to fail

And all my hopes decline.

Yet, gracious God, where shall I flee?

Thou art my only trust;

And still my soul would cleave to Thee

Though prostrate in the dust.

Hast Thou not bid me seek Thy face,

And shall I seek in vain?

And can the ear of sov’reign grace

Be deaf when I complain?

No, still the ear of sov’reign grace

Attends the mourner’s prayer;

Oh, may I ever find access

To breathe my sorrows there.

Thy mercy seat is open still,

Here let my soul retreat;

With humble hope attend Thy will,

And wait beneath Thy feet.

Thy mercy seat is open still,

Here let my soul retreat;

With humble hope attend Thy will,

And wait beneath Thy feet.
