• Poor & needy in the rural areas are identified by door to door survey involving local self help groups

• The programme treats patients with surgically curable blindness including cataract, glaucoma, retinal ailments and even paediatric eye diseases such as squint

The Need for Preventive Eye Care

• Early detection and timely intervention can very effectively preventive visual impairment.

• Refractive errors & Amblyopia (lazy eye disease) affects nearly 7 - 12% children in the community. Diagnosis is simple & the results of the treatment are dramatic
