By: Lili & Julia
Materials
Pin 2 Straws 4 Mini cups A Pencil Scotch Tape
Our First Step
First we took the pin and stuck it in the eraser of the pencil.
Our Second Step
Next we used scotch tape and taped two straws together in the center.
Our Third Step
Then we put holes in the cups and stuck the straws in the holes. Then we put the pin in the center of the straws and in the eraser.
Our Fourth Step Then to test the speed of wind, we went outside and went to the corner of Johnston and Philadelphia street. On the next slide try and count how many times it goes around. But sometimes it can be a little tricky!

How you can measure the speed of wind
Well you can make something like we did or you could do this one:
Speed Of Wind
One Kind of a Beaufort scale
Wind is the fastest growing source of electricity in the world
The wind blows because air has weight
Cold air weighs more than warm air
Wind forms when cold air meets warm air
Heat makes air start moving!
Wind blows heat away from your body
A gale is a VERY strong wind
More Information
The LORD said, “Go out and stand on the mountains in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about
to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains
apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake,
but the LORD was not in the earthquake. 1 kings 19:11
Lili: To me the bible verse means that God is the
most amazing person in the world and can do what
he wants to do.
Julia: To me it means God is ever where we look and go and he can do what ever he
feels like doing.
