Housing Drive: Letter to Alumni

1
June 27, 2014 Dear Brothers, The state of the LSU Chapter is strong. After an eventful spring, we wrapped up the semester with a GPA on the incline (we ranked fourth overall among IFC fraternities), the house at maximum capacity, and an eagerness to tackle the upcoming fall recruitment process. As we stated, the fraternity house is at maximum capacity. This is a major milestone for both the chapter and the Housing Corporation. Since relocating to 17 Dalrymple two years ago, the chapter has worked hard to reach this goal. However, if we are to sustain this achievement, progress is to be made. Constructed in 1938—just three years prior to the original LSU Chapter’s chartering—our house has survived a rich history of over 76 years. Originally occupied by Sigma Nu and then Alpha Gamma Rho, Delta Chi is the third fraternity to call 17 Dalrymple “home” here on campus. Presently, the LSU Chapter and Housing Corp. are looking to make significant repairs and renovations to the house over the next year. We strongly believe that making these muchneeded fixes to the house will assist us with our recruitment and livein strategies. However, in order to make these vital improvements, we are counting on your support. Please consider making a contribution to the housing drive. We are asking each alumnus to contribute or pledge at least $100 – however, any donation is welcomed. All monies received are deposited in a solely dedicated account with detailed accountability. Inkind contributions are also encouraged (for example: providing services for repairs, materials or furniture for improvements, serving on our ABT or Housing Corp., etc.). Please find the enclosed housing drive information pamphlet and pledge card. Even if you decline to contribute, please complete the pledge card as it will allow us to continue updating our alumni database. We sincerely appreciate your assistance, and we look forward to hearing back from you. If you have any questions, please contact Jon Kloor, “E”, at (662) 3156215 or [email protected]. We  strongly  believe  that  making  these  much-‐needed  fixes  to  the  house  will  assist  us  with  our  recruitment  and  live-‐in  strategies. In-‐kind  contributions  are  also  encouraged  (for  example:  providing  services  for  repairs,  materials  or  furniture  for  improvements,  serving  on  our  ABT  or  Housing  Corp.,  etc.). If  you  have  any  questions,  please  contact  Jon  Kloor,  “E”,  at  (662)  315-‐6215  or  [email protected].    In  The  Bond,
