The Roman
• The Romans built a Matrica-named military camp for auxíliary troops in the Dunafüred part of town.
• As a result of this stone construction, drainage, bath and road system had spread.

XX. century
• By the beginning of the 20th century Százhalombatta can already take pride in a catholic church, a school, a railway-system and industry.

• Saint Stephen Square• The main square of the town is succesful example of modern town centre formation.

• The Reformat church– The plans of the Reformat Church were
prepared by József Finta, Kossuth-prize winner architect in 1996.

• The Saint Stephen Church– The Roman Catholic Church consercated on
behalf of Saint Stephen on the main square was designed by Imre Makovecz and created the organic-style school.
– The church was consecrated on 19 August in 1996.

• Matrica Museum– Matrica Museum , is a situated a little further
from the centre of the settlement, bears the Roman name of the town. Matrica itself was a flourishing settlement for 300 years in the 1-4 centuries AD. In the wonderfully renovated, historical style museum, the several-thousand-year-old history of the town is presented.
