Minutes
The Clayton Library Friends (CLF) business meeting was called to order by President LyndaCollins at 10:30 am. Quorum was established.
President Collins:
o Announced that Sue Yerby resigned due to personal and family health issues;r Welcomed CLF members and guests.
Representing the Nominating Committee,PatMetcalfe presented the following nominees for theelection to the Clayton Library Friends Executive Board.
o Jessica Collins, I't VP Membership;o Glenda Hayes, Director of Correspondence;o John Dorroh, Director of Acquisitions;o Resa Hennings, Treasurer.
There was discussion that Lynda Collins, formerly I't VP Membership assumed the position ofPresident due to the resignation of Sue Yerby which left a vacancy. The 2nd Vice President,Ways and Means position is vacant also. Jessica Collins will assume the position of 1't VPMembership for one year. After the presentation of the slate of nominees, Chairman Metcalfeasked the members in attendance if there were any additional nominations from the floor. Whenno additional nominations were put forth, Chairman Metcalfe asked for a motion to elect theCLF directors as presented.
Motion I November 2019-01 Motion by Tom Matchett to accept the slate of nominees as
presented to the membership. Anthony Startz seconded the motion. Motion passed
unanimously.
Lynda Collins discussed the need for a change to the CLF Bylaws, Section 5.1 due to inclementweather.
Motion 2 November 2019 02 - Motion by Elsa Schmieder to revise the CLF Bylaws Section5.1
Regular meetings of the Friends shall be held quarterly in the months of February, May, August,and November, unless severe weather circumstances or natural or man-made disasters existwhich would expose attendees to dangerous travel conditions. In the case of such circumstances,the meeting will be rescheduled if feasible. The Clayton Library Friends membership will be

notified via electronic means in advance of the meeting that the meeting has been cancelled.Seconded by Ruby Dusek. Motion passed unanimously.
Lynda Collins, President, said that 2020 subscriptions for the Angel Program are now available.Donation forms are available at the check-in table or persons may donate online.
John Dorroh asked for assistance at the May 20-23,202A NGS Family History Conference inSalt Lake City. Pat Metcalfe, who generally attends and has been an insffumental help at priorconferences, will not be able to attend. Anyone interested should contact John directly.
Nick Cimino, Director of Programs, introduced the speaker, Susan Kau.frnan, Manager ofClayton Library Center for Genealogical Research. Sue has been the Manager for fourteen yearsand recently received the NGS Filby Award for Genealogical Leadership.
Comparisons of FY18/FY19 were provided.

Free Databases
. My Heritage is now available at home with the use of a HPL library card.o Find My Past and HistoryGeo are available at the Clayton Library.
Clayton Library Friends
. The sole job is to support the library.o Volunteer duties include: Clayton House, microprint desk, shelving, material acquisition,
and special projects.o Clayton Library would not exist in its current state without the support of the Clayton
Library Friends.
The Future
. The first floor of the library has been renovated. Includes new carpeting, a technologyroom, bookshelves remain same, but periodicals are in the process of being moved to thespecific state.
o Want to partnericollaborate with local genealogical societies.
Question and Answer period after the completion of Sue's talk.
A survey was given to all attendees who were sncouraged to complete and return to SueKaufrnan. Input from members and guests is needed to help mold the future of Clayton Libraryand Clayton Library Friends.
