4. 4. H otel Schloss Pontresina Family & SPA brings us up to Switzerland, on the outskirts of St. Moritz. The hotel rises inside a fascinating castle fortress from the late nineteenth century in the heart of the Upper Engadine. Refurbished in 2016, it offers stunning views on the Roseg Valley and the eternal glaciers of the Bernina range. The spacious interiors offer 142 rooms and suites, a restaurant and a beautiful SPA. The hotel is within easy reach of the major ski lifts of the area, such as the Kinderlift Alp Languard Pontresina (0.5 km), the Celerina Corviglia (8 km), the Corviglia St. Moritz (9 km). The bus connecting to the ski facilities stops just a few meters from the hotel entrance. For all guests staying for 2 or more nights at the hotel there is the option to purchase a ski pass for only 35 francs per person per day for the number of nights of the stay, covering 88 runs, 3 snow parks and 58 ski lifts plus free use of the Engadine public transport system. During summer, guests can take advantage of a free pass to all lift systems. The hotel has been certified as a Top Family Hotel and a Wellness & SPA Hotel by the prestigious Swiss Hotel Association and the Hotelstars Union. Food & DrinksNEW RESTAURANT AND BAR FOR THE JOY OF YOUR PALATE T he spacious halls of the restaurant are elegant and comfortable, with buffet service and a rich selection of dishes, from first courses to the following, warmly inspired by both Engadine traditions and the finest of international cuisine, with abundant vegetables, fruit and lots of sweets. Breakfast is served at the Caliz hall and includes a variety of pastries and homemade breads, sweet and savory, natural drinks, fruit, and everything you could wish for to ensure the right amount of energy for a new day that begins in the Upper Engadine. During summer, the outdoor panoramic Terrace with views on the Bernina peaks is ideal for a light lunch and if the weather is good we periodically organize barbecues along the river.
