Castilla Termal Balneario de Olmedo rises above the ruins
of the old Sancti Spiritus convent, founded in the first half
of the 12th century.
It is situated in the town of Olmedo, in the province of
Valladolid, considered to be one of the ‘Mudejar
Capitals’, boasting a rich history and artistic heritage.
Castilla Termal Burgo de Osma is situated in the
Renaissance University of Santa Catalina, founded in
the 16th century, in the town of El Burgo de Osma, in
the southwest of the province of Soria. The town was
designated a Place of Tourist Interest and a Historic-
Artistic Site.
Castilla Termal Monasterio de Valbuena rests on the
walls of the best-preserved Cistercian monastery in
Europe, built in the 12th century. It was the first 5-star
spa in Castile-León. Situated in a unique setting, right
in the heart of the Ribera del Duero area, in the town
of San Bernardo (Valladolid).
Castilla Termal Balneario de Solares is situated in an
elegant white building in a hundred-year-old park. It has
traditionally been a spa since the 18th century. In the early
20th century, during the Belle Époque, it became the first
spa in Cantabria, only a few minutes from Santander and
the magnificent Cantabrian coast.
The spa’s mineral-medicinal waters flow from the Sancti Spiritus spring and because of their composition they are highly mineralised
hypothermal waters, rich in chlorides and sodium. They are especially good for anti-stress treatments because of their highly
soothing efect, for skin problems and muscular hypertonia; they increase blood flow, have an analgesic and anti-inflammatory
eect, they help in the treatment of muscle spasms, and they stimulate organic, endocrine and metabolic functions. The thermal
pools with mineral-medicinal waters are situated in the convent’s cloister, and the contrast circuit, Patio Mudéjar, in the Castilian
Mudejar style, can be found above the Cirstercian nuns’ kitchen.
