Hot Water Where You Need It Point-of-Use Electric Mini-Tank Water Heaters

The Bosch Tronic 3000T point-of-use electric mini-tanks are

available in three sizes which can be wall-hung (bracket included)

or floor-mounted and come with a temperature/pressure relief

valve. Simply tap into the cold water line, provide electrical

connection and install the water heater directly at the sink to

provide hot water. They may also be installed inline near the point-

of-use to eliminate waiting for hot water from the primary source.

Easy Installation

Simply tap into cold water line, provide electrical connection and install

the water heater directly at the sink. Can be used alone to provide a small

volume of water or installed inline near the point-of-use with a larger hot

water source to eliminate the wait for hot water.

IMPORTANT Do not install the unit in an area where leaks will damage the surrounding area. If this is not possible, a suitable drain pan must be utilized as required by most plumbing codes.

Engineering Specifi cations

Water heater shall be a Model TRONIC ES2.5, ES4 or, ES8

Installation shall consist of ___Model TRONIC ES2.5 electric mini-tank water heaters as distributed by Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. and 98% thermal effi ciency. Supply voltage shall be 110 - 120VAC with a heating capacity of 1440 Watts.

Installation shall consist of ___Model TRONIC ES4 electric mini-tank water heaters as distributed by Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. and 98% thermal effi ciency. Supply voltage shall be 110 - 120VAC with a heating capacity of 1440 Watts.

Installation shall consist of ___Model TRONIC ES8 electric mini-tank water heaters as distributed by Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. and 98% thermal effi ciency. Supply voltage shall be 110 - 120VAC with a heating capacity of 1440 Watts.

The electric mini-tank water heaters shall be UL listed for the US and Canada and UPC certifi ed.

CONSTRUCTIONWater heater shall be electrically powered with compact mini-tank design for point-of-use operation and an effi ciency rating of 98%. Tank shall be glass-lined and insulated for thermal retention. Unit shall be protected by a tough plastic housing. Tank shall be rated for maximum working pressure not less than 150 psig. Water heater shall be equipped with a pressure relief valve and a magnesium anode rod for protection against tank corrosion. Water connections for inlet and outlet shall be ½” NPT male for ES2.5 and ES4. Water connections for inlet and outlet shall be ¾” NPT male for ES8.

The controls shall be a wired thermostat with temperature selector and a high temperature safety cut-out. A red light shall indicate when the unit is powering the heating element.

INSTALLATIONAll aspects of installation of electric mini-tank water heater shall be in strict accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Materials shall conform to all manufacturer’s recommendations including electrical connections and wiring.Water heater piping shall be fi eld constructed of materials as specifi ed. Water heater shall be installed with water shutoff valves for service and maintenance.

MODE OF OPERATIONThe heater shall include integral factory wired thermostat to control all operation and energy input. Control of outlet water temperature shall be set through an internal set point with a fi eld adjustment of 65 to 145 degrees F. Heater shall be capable of maintaining the temperature set point +/- 3 degrees F by supplying power to the 1440 Watt heating element.

WARRANTYThe inner tank shall carry a 8 year warranty. All other parts and components shall carry a 1 year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.
