Hosting District and Region Events

• District hosts are determined at the various district planning meetings for each sport.

• Region hosts for team sports (i.e. football, basketball, etc.) are determined by the setup of the playoff bracket.

• Region Cheer is bid in the same fashion as State Final Events

• Region hosts for individual sports (i.e. swimming, wrestling, cross country) are selected from volunteer applicants before the start of the season.

EL7 & EL12 forms due to AD (Week 15) – October 11

First practice date (Week 16) – October 14

Preseason classic competitions (Week 18) – October 28 – November 2

First regular season playing date (Week 19) – November 4

Official entry list/AACCA certificate due (Week 22) – November 25

Region 1 Competition (Week 29) – January 18

Region 2 Competition (Week 29) – January 18
