Hosting District and Region Events
• District hosts are determined at the various district planning meetings for each sport.
• Region hosts for team sports (i.e. football, basketball, etc.) are determined by the setup of the playoff bracket.
• Region Cheer is bid in the same fashion as State Final Events
• Region hosts for individual sports (i.e. swimming, wrestling, cross country) are selected from volunteer applicants before the start of the season.

Golf (added class)
Cross Country
Swimming and Diving (added class)
Track and Field
Positives and Negatives of Hosting• Downside to Hosting– Added work– Tough getting

advantage– No travel– No travel expenses– Could make a profit
