QUALIFYING STANDARDS

All standards for meet qualification are listed in the NJCAA 2015 – 16 Handbook and

Casebook pages 162 – 164. Specifics for swimming time standards can be found on pages

162 & 163, Section 6, Rule D, points 1.

Diving information can be found on pages 163 - 164, Section 6, Rule G, points 1 – 8 and

Rules H and I. Please note diving sheets for Wednesday’s events are due by 11:00 AM the

day of the event. Subsequent sheets must be turned in by 5:30 PM each evening for the

following day’s events. Sheets may be changed up to one hour before the event. A “dive

sheet” box will be set up at the diving table for your convenience. Pages 18 of the entry

packet reference on-line entry procedures to assist all coaches with registration and dive

entries prior to arrival at the championship. Meet management would appreciate any efforts

made to assist in entering diver’s names and diving lists in the on-line system to assist prior

to arrival. This will assist in allowing meet management to create the best experience for

both divers and coaches at the event.

RULES

The championship will be conducted in accordance with the current NCAA guidelines. All

coaches are encouraged to read the 2015 – 2016 NCAA Rulebook as well as the 2015 – 16

NJCAA Handbook and Casebook.

SCRATCH DEADLINES

Diving: 1-M Women – 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 2

3-M Men – 1:00 PM Thursday, March 3

3-M Women – 1:00 PM Friday, March 4

1-M Men – 1:00 PM Saturday, March 5

Swimming: There are no scratches for the swimming portion of the competition.

ENTRY LIMITS

Athletes may enter a maximum of four (4) individual events and four (4) relay events. All

entries submitted at the entry deadline are considered final.

ENTRY DEADLINES

As per page 162, Section 4, Rule A: Colleges are required to submit entries via Team

Manager “Hy-Tek” electronic file to the Tournament host by Tuesday of the week before the

NJCAA National Championship meet. This date is February 23, 2016. All electronic entries

should be sent to [email protected], a special e-mail set up for this event.

Events File Download: a download of meet events for Team Manager will be available at the

NJCAA website under 2016 Championships, specifically swimming and

diving. Files will also be sent directly to the Head Coach’s e-mail on

record with the NJCAA.

SPECTATOR ADMISSION

Admission to the venue will be $6.00 per session or an all session’s pass can be purchased

for $35.00

PARKING

Parking accommodations will be on the campus of Indian River State College. The southeast

corner of the school on the south side of the Science Center (Planetarium) is the nearest

parking lot to the swimming and diving complex. There is no charge for parking on campus.

Each team will be provided with three (3) deck credentials for the team’s staff. Additional

credentials can be purchased for $35.00 per person. Please complete the enclosed order form and

hospitality area.

As per Section 13 on page 165 of the NJCAA Handbook and Casebook: Should a tournament

host/national office choose to assign lodging for this event, all participating colleges must honor that

assignment or pay for those rooms.

COACHES’ ASSOCIATION LUNCHEON

A coaches’ meeting will be held at 2:00 PM on the campus of Indian River State College Tuesday,

March 1, 2016, in KSU–107: Koblegard Student Union Building next to Student Activities.

This meeting is of utmost importance for all coaches and your attendance is required.

Please make plans to attend.

Further information about this meeting will be forthcoming from the President of the NJCAA

Coaches’ Association, Dan Dubois.

ALL-AMERICAN CERTIFICATES

The winners of each individual and relay event will receive the NJCAA All-American Certificates. The

College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) also provides CSCAA All-American Certificates

to athletes whose coaches belong to the professional organization. A membership form for this

organization has been provided by NJCAA Swim Coach’s Association, Dan Dubois. Dan has

discussed this organization and why it is extremely important for all coaches and their teams to join.

CSCAA All-American certificates are awarded to the 1st through 4th place. The 5th through 8th place

finishers will receive CSCAA Honorable Mention certificates. Finishers in the 9th through 12th place

positions will receive the CSCAA Honorable Mention certificates if the final time in the event is equal

to or better than the established 2016 NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships qualifying

standard.

All CSCAA certificates will be mailed at the conclusion of the event in accordance with NJCAA

National Office regulations for the distribution of the certificates.

ON-LINE DIVING INSTRUCTIONS AND REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Pre-meet diving entry instructions for coaches and qualifiers

Entry Procedure

To enter dive sheets for the 2016 NJCAA Championship, please access the following website –

www.edive.info/emailentries.aspx

You will be taken to a ‘WELCOME’ page that asks you to enter the following information:

Your Name (name of the diver qualifying for the competition)

Your E-Mail (coach’s e-mail should entry coordinators need to contact the coach)

Your Team (name of the college the diver is competing for)

Meet Host’s e-mail [email protected]

Meet Name (2016 NJCAA Championships)

Event Name (Either Women’s 1-M/3M diving 11 dives or Men’s 1-M/3M diving 11 dives)

During the next step, you will be asked to enter information about the athlete’s list of dives being

performed at the competition. This form is designed to submit your lists one event at a time. If you are

attending the competition and have divers in both men’s and women’s events, follow these steps:

Fill out the form completely for the first event (ex. Women’s 1-M event #9)

Hit the button ‘SEND MY DIVE LISTS’

Entries for the first event will be sent

Fill out the form completely for the second event (ex. Men’s 3-M event #10)

Hit the button ‘SEND MY DIVE LISTS’

Entries for the second event will be sent

Repeat this process for each event you have divers qualified

Once finished, you should have sent one e-mail for each event and individual you have entered
