2. We will visit you at home, give you more information and answer your questions

3. Once your Application is approved, you’ll be invited to an Introductory Evening to meet other Hosts and be matched to your student/s. Then you arrange your first meeting

5. Enjoy making friends with your student/s and being a Hospitality Host!

6. Feedback: we’ll be in touch with you and your student/s to see how your friendship is blossoming

Hosting an international student is an opportunity to welcome a young visitor from another country into your home as a guest and give them hospitality

WHAT IS HOSTING?Many students come to the University of Bedfordshire Luton campus each year and never see inside a British home, or get to experience the hospitality of British people.

Hosting is an opportunity for international students to get to know local people, to make friends and begin to understand the cultures and customs, heritage and history of England in a personal, supportive way. Hosts often find themselves enriched too!

The Chaplaincy will try to match you with students - you both make a commitment to meet up at least once a month.

The emphasis is not so much on what you do - it’s much more about spending time together in an atmosphere of support and hospitality.
