Big Picture Needs You!
We believe that education is everywhere, not just inside classrooms, and students learn best when motivated through interests and passions. We are looking for mentors willing to give students the op-portunity to learn from an adult with a similar inter-est, and to provide context and depth through real world work in a professional setting. Through this opportunity, students develop relationships with workplace mentors who become role models, re-sources, and guides.
Learning is not a spectator sport
at Big Picture.
Join the team, light a fire!
The LTI Experience:
High school students spend 7 hours every Thurs-day at an internship, working on projects that bene-fit the organization and connect to the student’s learning goals. At the worksites, students take on real-world tasks and projects under the supervision of a mentor. Back at Big Picture, the students work with their advisors building and reinforcing the skills and knowledge needed to complete those projects.
