E . D . E . C RULES 1. The judge’s decision is final. 2. Hard hats must be worn at all times when riding. 3. All owners entering their horses/ponies do so at their own risk. E.D.E.C, its officers,

members and landowners accept no liability of any kind in respect of accident, damage, injury or illness to animals, owners, riders, grooms or spectators or any person, property what so ever.

4. Spurs may NOT be worn by anyone 16 or under. 5. Excessive use of crop or spurs may result in elimination. 6. No horse or pony under the age of 4 is allowed to participate in jumping classes. 7. The organisers reserve the right at any time to cancel, amalgamate or split any class. 8. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry. 9. When jumping the organisers recommend that current standard body protector is worn. 10. Any objections must be lodged with a £20 deposit within 15 minutes of the class ending,

the deposit will be returned if the objection is upheld. 11. No mucking out on the field. Please take your rubbish home with you. 12. All competitors must act in a responsible manner to other competitors and judges. 13. Any violation of the above rules may result in disqualification from any or all classes. 14. All dogs must be kept on leads at all times. 15. No cantering on the show field unless in one of the 4 competitors rings or collecting ring/

EDEC is a local friendly equestrian club located in Grenoside, Sheffield, S35 1RS. We hold weekly lessons on a Tuesday night 6.30-8pm May through August at our club ground in Grenoside on the A61 north of Sheffield opposite Bracken Hill. We hold 2 annual shows a year and other events such as ShowX training depending on members interests. Look out for our next show in August and ShowX training in Sept/October. 🏆 QUALIFIERS & AWARDS 🏆 15+ Horse & Pony Events To qualify for the15+ National Showing Championship held at Equifest 13th August 2017 , the first, second and third highest placed 15+ horse/pony in the marked classes will each qualify. To enter the National Supreme Show Jumping Championship Show, the rider and horse/pony must register with 15+ Horse & Pony Events within 14 days of the qualifying show date. Hallamshire Chantrey Championships 2017 3rd September (Showing) & 10th September (Showjumping). 1st to 3rd placed competitors in each class get a qualification card which qualifies them for entry into the Hallamshire Chantrey Championship 2017. Once you have qualified for the show there is no restriction on the number or type of class you can enter. You are free to enter ANY class. See www.hallamshireridingsociety.co.uk

Equestrian Life Championships 29th & 30th July 2017. This show is a qualifier for the 2017 Equestrian Life Working Hunter & Showing Championships- All Venue details will be published on: www.equestrianlifemagazine.co.uk/summer-champs - Once you have received a red/blue 2017 card please fill it in and return it along with a registration form from the above web link within 21 days of the show for this to be valid. One card per combination of horse and rider is ALL that is needed to enter ALL championship events, so cards may be passed down to a minimum of 6th place at the judges discretion. All Ridden Showing, Working Hunter and In Hand (inc Young Handler classes) can be qualifiers, but NO Novelty or Fun classes. Registration is for the rider/handler and costs £20, this can be for multiple equines ridden or handled by the same handler, Combinations MUST be the same at the finals.

Equine Sports UK 3rd - 6th August 2017. This show is affiliated to Equine Sports UK (ESUK) Grassroots Championship taking place at Arena UK, Grantham, Lincolnshire on 3rd - 6th August 2017. The three highest placed exhibits will qualify in each class. Challenge Trophies: Challenge Trophies are awarded as follows:

Ridden Cob : Wurzel Trophy Ridden Mountain & Moorland: Diemar Annabel Trophy InHand Mountain & Moorland : Flydon Merion Memorial Trophy Supreme Champion: John Rhodes Memorial Silver Salver

All these Trophies are held by the winner until 30th April 2018 and then must be returned to the club to be awarded to the winner of the next year’s John Rhodes Memorial Show. All Challenge trophy winners are required to give a £20 deposit, which will be refunded when the trophy is returned to the club.
