Earth’s Orbit Eccentricity• The change in the Earth’s orbit eccentricity is the main cause for the Ice Ages.

• The ice age cycles and the eccentricity cycles last around 100,000 years.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 3

Earth’s Orbit Today• The Earth’s orbit eccentricity in 2015 is 0.018.

• Today, the difference in distance between Earth and the Sun during the perihelion (when the Earth is closest to the Sun) and the aphelion (when the Earth is furthest from the Sun) is 3,3%.

• This results in a 6.7% difference in solar irradiation.

• Today the perihelion happens on the Exaggerated Scale

4th of January, which coincides withthe summer in the Southern Hemisphere.

• Today the aphelion happens on the4th of July, which coincides with thesummer in the Northern Hemisphere.

Earth’s Orbit 120,000 Years Ago• The eccentricity 120,000 years ago was 0.044.

• 120,000 years ago, the difference in distance between Earth and the Sun during the perihelion and the aphelion was 9%.

• This resulted in 18.8% difference in solar irradiation from the Sun to the Earth between the perihelion and aphelion.

Precession of the Earth’s Axis• The precession of the Earth’s axis completes a cycle in 26,000 years.

• Its most important climate influence is to vary the date of the year when the perihelion and aphelion happens.

• For example, in 70 years from now (2015) the perihelion will happen on the 5th of January and in 13,000 years, it will happen on the 4th of July.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 8

Living in the Ideal Climate

• In order to settle and flourish in regions with a mild climate, ancient civilizations living from 60,000 until 120,000 years ago (when the Earth’s orbit was very elliptic) had to live during the perihelion in the winter, to keep warm, and during the aphelion in the summer, not to burn.

• As the precession of the Earth’s axis changes the hemisphere that the perihelion happens during the summer, our ancestor had to migrate from the Tropic of Cancer to the Tropic of Capricorn and back in a cycle of 26,000 years to live in the ideal climate.

• For example, today the perihelion happens during the winter in the Northern Hemisphere (4th January), and in 13,000 years the perihelion will happen during the winter in the Southern Hemisphere (4th July).

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 9

Living in the Northern Hemisphere• In 1 AC, 26,000 BC, 52,000 BC, 78,000 BC and 104,000 BC the ideal climate happened in the

Tropic of Cancer in the Northern Hemisphere.

• This resulted in more humans in the Northern Hemisphere.

• Ideal Climate = Live during the perihelion in the winter, to keep warm, and during the aphelion in the summer, not to burn

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 10

Living on the Northern Hemisphere

• With most of humanity living in the Northern Hemisphere, the migration patterns happened:

‒ Around 78,000 BC and 52,000 BC there were major migrations from Africa to Asia through the Middle East.

‒ Around 52,000 BC there were major migrations from Asia to North America through the Straight of Gibraltar.

‒ Today, around 85% of the population lives in the Northern Hemisphere.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 11

Living in the Southern Hemisphere• In 13,000 BC, 39,000 BC, 65,000 BC, 91,000 BC the ideal climate happened in the Tropic of

Capricorn in the Southern Hemisphere.

• This resulted in more humans in the Southern Hemisphere.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 12

Living on the Southern Hemisphere

• With the Southern Hemisphere being the place with the ideal climate to live, the facts below happened:

‒ Around 60,000 BC a lot of people died in India. This is because they could not migrate to the Southern Hemisphere and could not survive the harsh climate in the Northern Hemisphere.

‒ Around 39,000 BC there were major migrations from Asia to Australia.

‒ The Mayans migrated unexpectedly from one latitude to another without any apparent reason.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 13

Crossing the Equator• In 6,500 BC, 19,500 BC, 32,500 BC, 45,500 BC, 58,500 BC, 71,500 BC, 84,500 BC, 97500 BC

and 110,500 BC our ancestors had to prepare themselves to cross from one hemisphere to the other.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 14

Crossing the Equator

• Crossing the Equator was a challenge because the perihelion and aphelion happened during the equinox, when the Sun is perpendicular to the Earth at the Equator, increasing the solar radiation when people crossed the Equator.

• Our ancestors had to cross the Equator as fast as possible to the other hemisphere.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 15

Ancient Migration Tool

• It could be the case that our ancestors did not know about the Ideal Climate and civilisations flourished in the latitude where the Ideal Climate happened because of better climate conditions.

• However, this presentation argues that our ancient civilisations realised that it was better to live in the Ideal Climate (perihelion during the winter and in the aphelion during the summer) and created a migration tool to live in the ideal climate.

• This tool consists of following the Gemini constellation and evolved to the horoscopes cycles (explained in the following slides).

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 16

Following the Gemini Constellation• In order to live in the perihelion during the winter and in the aphelion during the summer,

our ancestors had to live in the latitude where the Sun pointed to the Gemini constellation during the vernal equinox.

• This locations varied from the Tropic of Cancer to the Tropic of Capricorn and back in 26,000 years, due to the precession of the equinox.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 17

The 12 Eras• As 26,000 years is a long time to keep track, our ancestors created 12 eras of 2,166 years each.

• Six descending Eras, from Pisces to Libra, when our ancestor descended from the Northern to the Southern hemisphere.

• Six ascending Eras, from Virgo to Aries, when our ancestors ascended from the Southern to the Northern hemisphere.

• The Greeks had 13 eras of 2,000 years each.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 18

The 12 Eras • In each Era, our ancestors observed how the change in date of the perihelion and aphelion

affected the Earth’s climate and sea levels and created symbols to describe how the climate behaves in each Era.

• The following sections attempt to decipher the meaning of these symbols.

• The map below presents the final result of the theory.

Rainy Earth & Seas Rising• During the Pisces to the Middle of the Capricorn Eras the perihelion happens during the

summer in the Southern Hemisphere.

• As the Southern Hemisphere is mostly water, there is relatively more solar irradiation warming the oceans, which results in the sea levels rising.

• The symbols below were used to explain this: two similar animals (ram and goat) surrounding three fishes and a water bearer.

Ram Fish Water Bearer Fish Goat

Seas: Lowering Rising Rising Rising Lowering

Dry Earth & Seas Lowering• During the Libra to the Leo Eras the perihelion happens during the summer in the Northern

Hemisphere.

• As the Northern Hemisphere is mostly land, there is relatively more solar irradiation hitting the land, which dries the land and reduces oceanic evaporation, drying out the Earth.

• The symbols below were used to explain this: two similar animals (scorpion and crab), the scorpion lives in dry places (dry eras to come) and the crab lives in humid places (humid eras to come).

Pisces

(2 Fishes)

Dec – Jan /

Jun - Jul

Pisces is the first era of the Horoscopes cycle and is symbolized by two fishes in opposite directions.

In this era, the perihelion happens during December and January, which corresponds to the Summer in the

Southern Hemisphere.

With more solar irradiation hitting the oceans than other eras, this will increase the temperature of the

ocean waters, expanding it and increasing sea levels. Ancient people realized that the sea level started to rise

during the Pisces era and put fishes to represent sea levels rise.

More solar irradiation hitting the Southern Hemisphere also contributed to more water evaporation in the

oceans, this increases the humidity of the atmosphere and results in more rain to sustain life. With more rain

and water, the rivers becomes richer in fish. In addition, new rivers appear and humans should populate them

with a male and female fish for them to multiply.

Pisces is the era when there is the most life activity in the world.

The Pisces era is the first descending sign in Vedic Astrology. It might be just coincidence, but during the

Pieces era is when people reaches the Tropic of Cancer and starts to migrate down to the Tropic of Capricorn.

The two fishes in opposite directions might be used to represent this change in directions. The beginning of a

new cycle.

Perihelion /

AphelionDescription

Aquarius

(Water

Bearer)

Jan – Feb /

Jul –Aug

Aquarius is the second era of the Horoscopes cycle and is symbolised by the water bearer. The water bearer is

a man or a woman pouring down a bucket of water on the floor. This symbolises the continuation and

acceleration of sea levels rice. Sea levels rise during the Aquarius era happens for the same reason as in the

Pisces era.

Capricorn

Zodiac

Perihelion /

AphelionDescription

Capricorn

(Half

Goat/Half

Fish

Monster)

Feb – Mar /

Aug – Out

Capricorn is the third era of the Horoscopes cycle and is symbolised by a monster with the head of a goat and

tale of a fish. This symbolised that the sea levels will stop rising during the middle of the Capricorn era and start

to fall again.

The sea levels reduces during this era because the ancient analyses were made during the ice age and during

an ice age the water from the oceans evaporate and accumulate in the continent. For this reason, there are only

two eras when there is sea levels rise and ten eras when sea levels fall.

A mythological example of this description can be seen in the Sumerian myth of Enki, which symbolises the

fertility of the land by the water. In other words, with sea levels lowering, the land becomes fertile.

Sagittarius

Zodiac SignsPerihelion

/ AphelionDescription

Sagittarius

(Half

Man/Half

House

Monster)

Mar –Apr/

Sep – Oct

Sagittarius is the fourth era of the Horoscopes cycle and is symbolised by a monster with the upper body of a

man holding a bow and the lower body of a horse.

This is because, this is the era when our ancestors migrate from the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern

Hemisphere, crossing the Equator. As the world has been through eight good eras, from Cancer until Sagittarius,

the Earth is strongly populated and most of its life happens in the Equator. Thus, in order to cross the Equator,

our ancestors has to flight with animals, other tribes and diseases. This is symbolised by the man holding a bow.

The horse body symbolises that this passage though the Equator should be done as fast as possible to reduce

human losses.

The migration from the Southern to the Northern Hemisphere is also represented in the Sagittarius symbol

(♐).

Scorpio

Zodiac

Signs

Perihelion /

AphelionDescription

Scorpio

(Scorpion)

Apr – May/

Oct – Nov

Scorpio is the fifth era of the Horoscopes cycle and is symbolised by a scorpion.

This symbolises the fact that the Earth will become drier for the next three eras (Libra, Virgo, Leo), until

Cancer when the Earth starts to recover. This is because the perihelion is happening during May, which is the

Summer in the Northern Hemisphere. As the Northern Hemisphere is mostly land, the amount of solar

irradiation hitting the oceans will considerably reduce reducing the humidity of the atmosphere. In addition,

there will be more evaporation of the water in the Northern Hemisphere, causing devastating droughts.

Libra

Zodiac

Signs

Perihelion /

AphelionDescription

Libra

(Scales)

May – Jun/

Nov – Dec

Libra is the sixth era of the Horoscopes cycle and is symbolised by a pair of scales.

It symbolises the difficult choices that needs to be done in order to prepare to the Virgo era.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 27

Virgo

Zodiac

Signs

Perihelion /

AphelionDescription

Virgo

(Virgin

Woman)

Jun – Jul /

Dec – Jan

Virgo is the seventh era of the Horoscopes cycle and is symbolised by a virgin woman.

Virgo is the worst era of all. A considerable amount of species become extinct and life in Earth reaches its

minimum. This is because the perihelion happens during the peak of the Summer in the Northern Hemisphere,

causing devastating droughts all over the world.

Virgo symbolises the woman keeping her virginity until she is certain that if she has a baby, she would be

able to take good care of it. This is because the situation is so catastrophic during the Virgo era that if the woman

is not in the position to have a baby and take care of it safely, both can end up dying.

This is the first era that changes from the descending to the ascending eras in Vedic Astrology. This have two

connotations, one is that things will start improving after the Virgo era and the other is that people will stop

migrating South and will start returning to the North.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 28

Leo

Zodiac

Signs

Perihelion /

AphelionDescription

Leo

(Lion)

Jul –Aug/

Jan – Feb

Leo is the eight era of the Horoscopes cycle and is symbolised by a lion.

This is the era for the victorious and strongest humans that managed to survive the Virgo era. People are

happy celebrating that they survived and that they will conquer the new Zodiac cycle. The Leo era is still dry

and difficult, but things start to improve because the perihelion is happening during July and August, instead of

June and July, which is when Summer starts and the Sun is closest to the Northern Hemisphere.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 29

Cancer

Zodiac

Signs

Perihelion /

AphelionDescription

Cancer

(Crab)

Aug – Sep/

Feb – Mar

Cancer is the ninth era of the Zodiac cycle and is symbolised by a crab. This is the era when the rain return

and the Earth starts to become humid again.

Both the crab and the scorpion have two claws, but the crab live in humid places and the scorpion in dry

places. In the Scorpio era the Earth starts to dry because the perihelion is happening during the summer in the

Northern Hemisphere. In the Cancer era the Earth starts to become more humid because the perihelion is not

happening during the summer in the Northern Hemisphere.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 30

Gemini

Zodiac

Signs

Perihelion /

AphelionDescription

Gemini

(Twins)

Sep – Oct/

Mar –Apr

Gemini is the tenth era of the Horoscopes cycle and is symbolised by the twins. It is the constellation that our

ancient ancestors followed, which is perpendicular to where the Sun was directly pointing to the constelations

during the vernal equinox in order to live in the ideal climate. For this reason, the symbol has two meanings.

First, it is to remind people to follow the constellation and, the other meaning, is that when crossing the Equator

during this era from the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern Hemisphere people could be less careful, learn

with the people that live in the Equator, mix with them, share knowledge, etc. This is because the Earth is less

populated, and people are more friendly and helpful as they had to collaborate in order to survive the previous

eras.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 31

Taurus

Zodiac

Signs

Perihelion /

AphelionDescription

Taurus

(Bull)

Oct – Nov/

Apr – May

Taurus is the eleventh era of the Horoscopes cycle and is symbolised by a bull.

It is the first era after our ancestors cross the Equator. It symbolises the need to reoccupy and rebuild the

Northern part of Africa and maybe Europe, which is empty of people. It also gives credits to the Bulls that lives

above the Equator and have remarkably long horns and to the constellation of Taurus, which is relatively bigger

and brighter than the others.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 32

Aries

Zodiac

Signs

Perihelion /

AphelionDescription

Aries

(Ram)

Nov – Dec/

May – Jun

Aries is the twelfth era of the Horoscopes cycle and is symbolised by a ram.

It symbolises fertility and creativity, which means that the Earth become more populated and strong.

However, it also symbolises dominance, which results in wars.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 33

The Ages

• Another important characteristic of the Eras, is that they are divided in Ages.

• The Golden Age includes the Taurus, Aries, Pisces, Aquarius and Capricorn eras, which are humid eras and life in the Earth is at its peak.

• The Silver Age includes the Cancer, Gemini, Sagittarius and Scorpio eras, in which the Earth becomes drier.

• The Bronze Age includes the Leo andLibra eras, in which the Earth becomes even drier.

• The Iron Age is the Virgo era and is themost hostile era, in which the Earth is the driest and most animal and humansdie.

06/02/2015

The End to this Knowledge

• This ancient knowledge (horoscopes used as a migration tool) became less and less influential since the Great Flood (end of the last ice age).

• The Horoscopes only takes into account the precession of the Earth’s axis in its climate predictions, however, the change in the Earth’s orbit eccentricity also influence the climate, in particular the ice ages.

• The last Ice Age finished around 14,000 years ago, during the Leo Era.

• Our Ancestors, following the ancient knowledge, believed that the sea levels were going to lower due to the precession of the Earth’s axis. However, with the end of the Ice Age, the Ice on North America and Asia melted into the ocean increasing the sea levels and causing the Great Flood and killing millions of people.

• After the Great Flood ancient people destroyed any records of this ancient knowledge, erased any historical fact before the Great Flood and tried to demonize the horoscopes.

06/02/2015 Dr. Julian Hunt 35

Future

• Currently, we are living in a society that only thinks over the next 50 years. We are realising that if we keep living this way, we will end up destroying the Earth.

• The ancient knowledge described in this presentation shows that our ancestors were living in a cycle of 26,000 years in order to survive the harsh climate from the Ice Age.

• This should teach us to reduce the focus on the present and think a little about the future of the Earth, to take care of what we have now, so it will last for the next 26,000 years.

• In addition, knowing how the climate of the Earth and the sea levels will behave in each era, will allow us to slowly adapt our civilisations to the new climates and sea levels.
