ABOUT THE EDITORS

Dr. Mathew Emmanuel is currently working as Head, PG Department of Commerce, Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology, Changanacherry, Kerala. Earlier he served as Head and Associate Professor in Economics, St. Xavier’s College, Vaikom, which is affiliated to Mahatma University, Kottayam. He did his MA in Economics and M. Phil in Economics with A Grade from the University of Kerala. He obtained M. Com with first division and specialization Diploma in Marketing Management from IGNOU, New Delhi. He holds PhD from Cochin University of Science and Technology. He has successfully completed the Faculty Development Programme in Entrepreneurship conducted by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmadabad. His area of interest includes Economics, Commerce, Management, and Journalism. He had served as a visiting faculty to the MBE Programme at CUSAT, Kochi and DIC, Kottayam for giving training to entrepreneurs. He was a member of the Board of Studies in Economics, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. He also worked as a columnist in School Master, Kerala’s leadingeducational magazine.He is the author of Methodology of Business studies; Economics and Communication Skills; Basics of Business and Management (Pearson, New Delhi), Marketing Management; Advertising and Sales Promotion (DC Books) and Co- author of Kerala Economy, Inclusive Growth in India. Technical Education in Kerala: Emerging Trends (Serials, Delhi), Development and Environmental Economics (Kalyani, Delhi), He has also contributed scholarly papers to academic journals and also a question setter to different universities. He is also involved with teaching in B.Com and M.Com Programmes, IGNOU. In addition, he has attended and presented papers in many seminars and conferences, both at National and International levels. He has attended the International Conference on Accounting and Financial Economics at the University of Southern California, Los Angles.

Mr. Thomaskutty M.O is presently engaged in the teaching profession in Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology .He does have qualifications of excellent pedigree such as MBA in Finance, M.Phil and M.Com in Finance and along with that he does have a high graded B.Com. Besides these academic credentials, he is the Co-ordinator and Senior faculty of the Department of Commerce in the same college. He has also mantled many responsibilities in his career as a resourceful person such as the member of Academic Council Internal exam, M.G university, CBCSS Co-ordinator, Additional Examiner of M.G University related to the subjects viz Cost Accounting, Corporate Accounting and also Chief Examiner in M.I.S in M.G University.in addition to all these roles he is an active member in the social framework of the society he lives in. He is also an excellent professor having vast teaching experience in his area of operation and specialization. Truly, a professor of brilliant qualities.

Dr. Anu Honey is currently engaged in functioning as an Assistant Professor of Commerce in the Post Graduate Department of Commerce Kristu Jyoti College of Management And Technology. She is qualified with M.com in Finance, MBA in Human Resource Management, Ph.D in Commerce, and Pursuing Post Graduate Diploma on Taxation. To add to this stellar record of academic flourishment, she is also furnished with four years of teaching experience and one year of industrial experience. She has attended many National

seminars as a resource person and her credible articles have appeared in National and International Journals of repute. She was also coordinator for three National paper Presentation competition on relevant economic subject areas held in Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology in three consecutive years. These Paper Presentations Competitions were attended by research students from many colleges in India. She is an academically inclined person and her intelligence and coherence made an addition to her career.

About The College

Kristu Jyoti College of Management & Technology, Chethipuzha, affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi (AICTE) that offers Post Graduate Programme in Computer Application was started in the year 2002. Two more new courses, M. Sc Bioinformatics and B. Com with Computer Application were started in the year 2004. The college got affiliation from MG University and Govt. of Kerala to offer BBA and BCA courses from 2010, B Com (Finance and Taxation) and M Com (Finance) from 2011, B.Sc(Psychology) in2014,BA English, B.Sc Geology from 2015. The first batch of MCA was started in the year 2002. The foundation stone of this building was laid by His Grace Geevarghese Mar. Themothios, Bishop of Thiruvalla Diocese. Inauguration of the academics of the college was done by Mar Joseph Powathil on December 3, 2002.The first manager of the College, Rev. Fr. Antony Kakkanatt CMI (1999-2002), was succeeded by Rev. Fr. James Thayil CMI (2002-2005, 2007-10), Rev. Fr. Thomas Choolaparambil CMI (2005-07), Rev.Fr.Antony Elamthottam CMI(2011-2014) and the present Manager Rev. Fr.Paul Thamarassery CMI. Rev. Fr. Cyriac Madathil CMI (2002-2005) was the founder Principal of the College, followed by Rev.Fr.Paul Thamaracherry CMI (2005-07), Rev. Fr. Jose Kaduthanam CMI (2007-09) and our present Principal Rev. Fr.Joshy Cheeramkuzhy CMI.

About The Department

The Department of Commerce was started at Kristu Jyoti College of Management and Technology in 2004. It strives to foster commerce and management professionals, who can be a lustrous spearhead for commitment and integrity towards society, with high level of knowledge and competence. It became the second Post Graduate Department of the college with the launching of M.Com Programme in 2010. Having bagged 6 University Ranks till date, the outstanding performance of the Department is etched in letters of gold in the annals of the college. The Department of Commerce conducts various Programmes like Commerce Fest, Business Fiesta, Association –ESPRIT, National Level Paper Presentation, Seminars, Industrial Visit, Entrepreneurship Development Clubs. The Department imparts knowledge and skill to all areas of business through offering B.Com (Four batches) and M.com (two batches) Programmes. The department also conducts innovative programmes to keep the students posted of various sophisticated developments in the areas of Business and Management studies. It has also brought in the services of outstanding experts in the business field to give sufficient exposure to the student community. The Department also carries out annual seminars and conferences to make it in tune with the new trends and tendencies unfolding in the wider world of commerce and business.
