How to participate?Collaborative project• ”The usual” EU project, most of the money allocated

through these instruments• Implemented in European co-operation• Research or Innovation focus – long term activity• Usually wide approach, not driven by one company • Expected impact on European competitiveness and

societal benefits• For companies that need to work with other European

partners in order to achieve their goals

SME Instrument• One company applications (or consortium of SMEs) • More flexible application process: bottom-up continuous call (4 cut-offs/year)• Fast international growth through commercialisation of a new product or service• Heavy competition, low success rates• Only the SME is funded, subcontracting is allowed• 24 months, € 0,5 – 2,5 M€

Fast Track to Innovation• support for industry-driven close-to-market innovation actions (bottom-up)• 3-5 partners, 36 months/€ 3 M€• continuous open call (cut-off dates)

ALTAGRAM GMBH Phase 1: 50 t - http://www.altagram.de :

AltaGram 4.0 - Launching the First One-Stop Video Game Culturalization

Management Platform

Game culturalization is a complex process that involves many specialists:

specialized translation (localization), software interventions, design adaptation

interventions, video captions, voice-over and transcriptions, conversion of

requirements and addressing regional, national and local regulations. The

video game industry lacks a unified solution to facilitate culturalization

activities. As a result, games are full of inconsistences in the final contents, the

process is costly, time consuming and lacks expertise. Our Solution Altagram

4.0 represents an innovative and disruptive one-stop web solution thatoptimizes and largely automates the culturalization process of video games. Our aim is to contribute to Europe being the most integrated and

culturally sensitive in can be. And, for European game companies/publishers

to help them successfully enter foreign markets by having culturally adequate

and relevant game contents.

ARTOMATIX LIMITED Phase 2: 1.470.000 € -http://www.Artomatix.com

ArtomatixSuite - : An innovative 3D content generation solution for digitalartists

The 3D Computer Graphics Industry represents a vibrant €115 billionglobal opportunity (2016) poised for spectacular growth. Studios creating3D content are already at the limits of human capacity and arechallenged to meet the current market demands. Artomatixrevolutionises the way 3D art is created. Instead of designing, say, an intricate brick wall pixel by pixel for use in a video game scene, one could take a photo of a brick wall with their phone and Artomatix will extrapolate the rest, imagining a new ‘virtual’ brickwall. Rather than being the paintbrush, your computer acts as thepainter. Instead of being the painter, an artist will become the art director, providing the high level guidance and vision.Artomatix is offering this‘virtual painter’ as a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) that canincrease the industries art asset production capacity from 69 millionassets in 2016 to 95 million, and to beyond 236m by 2022.

http://www.cortechs.ie

CereBrill - Brain training tools for better focus - using games and brainwavesto improve performance in children with ADHD

Cortechs is addressing an exponentially growing brain-based healthchallenge impacting over 2 billion people and 1 in 9 children worldwide: theinability to reach the basic cognitive skill levels needed to maintain theattention needed for school, work, home and life. Cortechs create data-driven, therapeutic games that improve attention levels in children. ADHD is expensive, it causes suffering and it impairs social and lifelong productivity for the child and their family. current EU-wide approaches to treatthese symptoms come at extortionate costs (trillions pa) to the European health and welfare systems with medication alone not tackling the core, cognitive skills affected in ADHD. Our intervention provides games whichcan be played using your brainwaves on smart devices. Progress data can be remotely assessed by specialist clinicians to prescribe and amend individual therapies on secure web dashboards. Cortechsneurofeedback platform and gaming delivery system is a highly innovative, consumer facing solution in the cognitive healthcare market for ADHD....

GLASSUP SRL Phase 2: 1.078.000 € - http://www.glassup.net

Uno-sport - Delivering contextual information in a hands-free experience, optimized for users engaged in action sports:AR Glasses in the past were the result of a technology push by largeplayers who failed to understand what the customer really requires. Wehave developed a technology that will disrupt the AR Glasses market specifically the use of AR in Sports. Current AR Glasses fail in 3 departments: 1) bulky, large and cumbersome to wear, 2) too expensive(> €1000) and 3) they obstruct the field of view of the user with a bulkyprism or monitor. Users istead want an appealing set of glasses, at a reasonable price and feeling comfortable when worn. UNO Sport usespatented technology similar to the technology used in heads up displaysfor fighter jet pilots. Instead of having a display mounted in front of the lens, our technology ‘projects’ an image on the glass’s lensitself, thereby, the user has 0% obstruction of the real scene. Secondly with our technology we can project the ‘virtual’ image exactly at the centre of the screen instead of having to look at thebottom or side. Finally, we managed to slash the price of ourproduct down to €399. During our feasibility study, we decided to focuson Sports sector (product extending the smartphone’s display -> information seen while practicing sport).
