Math Requirements
Two Math Courses are required for FKL. Specific courses are determined by your major.
Several majors require specific Calculus or Statistics courses.
If your major does not specify a particular math course, you may choose any two math courses.
College Math vs High School Math – it’s not the same.
Accelerated Credit: AP, IB, CLEP, etc.
USF awards accelerated credit according to the state approved equivalencies. Your academic advisor will help you determine where your credits will fit in with
your major and degree requirements.
English and Math equivalencies are on your worksheet. Information for other courses is on the Honors Website.

The Honors College believes every student must have a significant cultural experience to enhance their curriculum and competitiveness in our global world.
How to meet the requirement:• 2 semesters of a foreign language at the beginning level (example: SPN 1120 and SPN 1121). Same requirement as the BA language requirement.•Participation in an Honors course that travels to a non-English speaking country.•Participation in a university sponsored study abroad program of 4 weeks or more, to a non-English speaking area.
Academic Advising
All first-year students MUST meet with their academic advisor during the Fall and Spring semesters prior to registering for the next semester courses. Students will have a hold placed on their OASIS account until they meet with their Honors College Advisor.
Make your registration advising appointment early, as advisors’ schedules fill quickly. Appointments typically last 30 minutes.
Short walk-in appointments are available throughout the semester, but are not a substitute for a registration appointment.
