The vision of the LTP like and ETP on Food for Life is that an effective integration of strategically-focused, concerted research in the nutritional-, food- and consumer sciences and food chain management will deliver innovative, novel and improved food products for regional and global markets in line with consumer needs and expectations. The main problem – is that up to now in Lithuania we have not yet developed a well- structured network between Food research and Consumers service agencies, Universities, Manufacture of plants and animal raw materials, etc. In the beginning of 2010 was started project “The creation of web site and activity maintenance of experimental development of science and technologies (MTEP) of Lithuanian national food technology platforms (LMŪTP)”. The aim of this project - to create a web site http://www.lmutp.lt where problems, discussions related with communication between science, business and government institutions should be solved. The Lithuanian TP like and ETP Food for Life represents a unique opportunity for all stakeholders in the Lithuanian food chain to increase their competitive strength and to safeguard the continued well-being and welfare of consumers across Europe.
