Honor KillingDefinition

“Honor killing is the act of violence, often

murder, committed by male family members

or the whole community against female family

members, mostly, and sometimes even male,

who are held to have brought dishonor or

shame upon the family”.

Countries famous for honor killing

• Top ten countries: Afghanistan, India, Iran,

Iraq, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab

Emirates, Pakistan and Palestine.

• Others: Syria, Sweden, Switzerland, Kuwait,

Conclusion

Honor Killing is totally and surely no longer

acceptable in this 21th century. It is

inhumanity and a very bad type of

discrimination against women. My last and

only recommendation “ Voice our words to

the world by saying NO to honor killing”.
