THE CITY #THECITY#

Hong Kong is a young, pulsating city full ofenergy. This is evident to anyone standingon the quay in Tsim Sha Tsui and lookingat Hong Kong Island’s impressiveskyscraper horizon. Furthermore, this is acity which has succeeded in making an artout of squeezing seven million people intoan area of 1000 square kilometres. Youcan find everything here: some of theworld’s most exciting skyscraperarchitecture, fashionable shopping malls, asubtropical wilderness and one of theworld’s hottest financial districts.

The crossroads between Queen’s Road andPedder Street is said to be the busiest inthe world. Among the crowds in centralHong Kong, the visitor will find many of themost attractive shops, as well as the mainentertainment district of Lan Kwai Fong.

SoHo – south of Hollywood Road – iswhere you will find the world’s largestsystem of interconnected escalators, avibrating artery linking togetherrestaurants, cafés, bars, interior designshops and shopping malls. For thefashion-conscious, a visit to Causeway Bayis recommended - here it is chiefly youngpeople who enjoy combing the fashionboutiques until late into the evening.

Anyone who loses their way in the alleys ofthe technology paradise of Kowloon willfind their way to an interesting restaurantin the Chinese quarter of Central or decideto take a swim in Stanley… And so it

continues. Hong Kong is an adventure.
