industries are small-scale operations. They are involved mainly in certain manufacturing processes pertaining to re-exporting goods produced in China by Hong Kong-owned establishments. For instance, these processes can involve the packaging of goods produced on the mainland.

*PopulationThe population of Hong Kong

in 2011 is about 7 million. Its’ population up 0.6 percent year on year. Hong Kong’s population is 95 percent ethnic Chinese and 5 percent form other nationality

*Language In Hong Kong, English and Chinese

are the main Languages. So English and Chinese must both be acknowledged as official language. The majority of the population in Hong Kong speak Cantonese. After the 1997, Hong Kong government started to promote the uses Mandarin as a business skill. Mandarin become an important asset in work place for adults.

On the whole, most people speak Cantonese for informal. about 4 percent of people speak Mandarin

*EducationIn Hong Kong, it is compulsory

to go to school for 9 years –- 6 years in primary and the 3 years of high school. Recently, the government has removed

fees and exams to enter the 2nd half of high school so more students can receive 12 years of schooling.
