A reliable power supply is critical to China’s economic growth and the welfare of its populations. Increase in China’s electricity demand now strains the electricity grid. Honeywell’s Automated Demand Response (Auto DR) offers China an important alternative to fossil-fuel generation (reducing carbon emissions) in addressing China’s growing energy consumption dilemma. Honeywell worked closely with TEDA, the SGCC Smart Grid department, and CEPRI (China Electric Power Research Institute) to design a pilot project to help achieve the following specific objectives:

Lower carbon emissions through reduced consumption Incorporate renewable energy sources Encourage energy efficiency Review and understand the pilot project technology
