Program

The Akrapovic Racing and Evolution systems are designed for riders who ex-pect the maximum from their exhaust system and know how to get it on the track. The systems are designed for two markets; for the EU and other non-US markets they come with a noise damper, and for the US market they are equipped with an approved spark arrester.

PERFORMANCE

Measurements of the Akrapovic EVOLUTION system on the HONDA CRF 150 R (without muffler insert):

Power & Torque: with the Akrapovic exhaust system the Honda engine delivers in-creased response. There is a marked increase in power and torque at the top of the rpm range, right in the operating range for this motorcycle. Max. power output was measured at 22.5 HP at 12400 rpm.

CONFIGURATION

The Akrapovic Racing and Evolution systems differ only in their selection of materials. The Racing uses stainless steel, and the Evolution features titanium. The systems are composed of a conical header tube attached to a conical link pipe with a sleeve joint. The sleeve joint is secured with a silicon-shielded spring. The link pipe is welded to the muffler. The offroad muffler for the Racing has a stainless steel inlet cap, perfo-rated inner sleeve and outlet cap, while for the Evolution these components are made of titanium. The outer sleeve is titanium for both models. The systems are equipped with an approved spark arrester for the US market, and for the EU and other non-US markets they come with a noise damper. The muffler is attached to the frame using an Akrapovic carbon-fiber clamp.
