THE NEVILLE LOVETT COMMUNITY SCHOOL HOME SCHOOL AGREEMENT At this school, we aim to reach the highest standards in all that we do. The school will seek to maintain a safe and positive working environment in which each student has every opportunity to develop the skills essential for success provide a broad and balanced education in line with Key Stages three and four of the National Curriculum alert parents if there are concerns about a student's work, behaviour, punctuality or attendance communicate progress formally by means of termly subject reviews organise annual opportunities for parents to consult with subject teachers set and mark homework tasks which complement work undertaken during the school day keep parents fully informed about school events and activities. Parents will work hard to ensure that their child(ren) attend(s) school regularly and punctually, properly dressed and equipped phone the school about student absence on the first day before 9.00 am provide a note of explanation on a child's return to school after an absence let the school know of any concerns or problems which may affect their child(ren)'s progress support the school's policies on rewards and punishments encourage their child(ren) in the completion of homework and seek other opportunities to extend their learning respond promptly to school communications attend all parent’s consultation evenings as far as possible take family holidays outside of term time unless in exceptional circumstances. Students will behave in a way that keeps them safe and respects the rights of others keep to the school’s ‘Expectations of Students’ observe the Neville Lovett Classroom Guidelines treat the school buildings and equipment with respect maintain high standards of school uniform.
